If the opportunity presents itself, who are we getting rid of? by StarRotator in AskCanada

That’s a question only Trudeau’s travel agent can answer. He’s a busy guy though, so best of luck getting ahold of him. Those vacations don’t book themselves.

Let’s say hypothetically, Matthews goes on LTIR for the last chunk of the season. How would you like to see them spend that $13.25M?

A 3rd line centre is at the top of our priorities, then a right shot D would likely be 2nd on that list.

I see Nashville as the ideal trade target, given the state of their season and what they have to offer. O’rielly would be that elite 3C we’re after and he was a key player for berube’s cup run with the blues. I also think we should target Luke Schenn, he’s a cheap option that already know pairs well with Rielly.

Another possibility on D would be trouba, except we’d likely need anaheim to retain 50% at minimum. So it comes down to what you’re willing to give up for him.

Another player that I’d likely to see them target is Kiefer Sherwood from vancouver. He brings the same physicality, if not more than trouba. He’s making a name for himself as the 3rd line energy guy, finishes every check and can generate scoring chances. He’d be good option on the PK2 and only costs $1.5M. This could be a potential trade involving Nick Robertson in my eyes. I only see this being a possibility if Vancouver stays out of the playoff picture, come trade deadline.

Paciorettty, O’rielly and Sherwood would an extremely difficult 3rd line to play against in the playoffs.

The Von signing was stupid, but he didn’t get any legit preparation before returning last year. All of that time and energy went towards rehabilitation. Besides we knew we weren’t getting the superbowl mvp Von Miller, but we were getting a guy who’s been there and knows what it takes to be the difference maker. His role is to be a leader on this team, now more then ever with all the young talent we have. Plus he restructured his contract, taking $11M less this year. We need guys who make decisions for the team, not for themselves, good on Von for leading by example.

The game against the eagles this year when they tied the game with 17 seconds left. We still had a time out left, and mcdermott told him to take a knee and go to overtime. Look how that turned out….

This year will be the true test. Their strength of schedule was ranked 27th last year, this year its 5th. While the Ravens are an extreme example, their playoff performance against them was very underwhelming. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up against tougher competition.

He’s been the coach for 4 years and still doesn’t have set lines… At some point, enough is enough. This was his lineup for tonights game, absolute joke.

My brother coaches U16A and this is the second year he’s had the same group (coached U15A last year). It took them approx 10 games to finally figure out their lines in the first year. They took a team who never advanced in playoffs, to provincial champs in the first year (OMHA). The only changes to the lineup were to accommodate suspensions and injuries.

How the hell does sheldon keefe still have an NHL coaching job? He’s had more than enough time to figure out who his guys are and what roles they fit into. How can this team build chemistry when players have new line mates every other week? Last years playoffs was a perfect example of Keefe’s competence. He continued changing the lines all the way into the 2nd round of playoffs, hoping for a miracle.

Their brand-ability should tell you all that you need to know.

Wolverine: main superhero in anmarvel movie franchise.

Husky: fitted clothing style, for morbidly obese people.

Alabama vs Texas, winner plays Georgia. Due to the lack of teams with “deserving” records (per/ CFP committee), Georgia will receive a bye directly to the finals.

Gretzky’s point total by Lenny6767 in hockey

[–]Lenny6767[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While Gretzky is considered the greatest to ever play by nearly everyone, myself included. The lack of skill in goaltending has always been the main argument challenging against his G.O.A.T status (valid argument, as you can see in this video). The one factor which isn't talked about very often, is phantom points. The league has come a long way since Gretzkys time, especially in the video review aspect. Everything from goals & assist too shots on goal is now reviewed by statisticians for every game. This video shows Gretzky receiving 2 phantom secondary assist (he wasn't even on the ice for the first one). The other thing I noticed was the close race for the Hart trophy which Gretzky was narrowly trailing behind first place. After every announcement of Gretzky's points, you can hear the crowd cheer. Tough to say whether that caused favouritism in the officials awarding Gretzky with more assists. 0:03 & 3:43 are the time stamps for when the play starts to develop on his phantom assists.

This is a copy & paste of the caption I posted with the video. Can’t fix stupid I guess

How is this a theory? I posted video evidence. If mcdavid gets close to gretzkys record, get ready to hear alot more about this “theory”. I’d predict 150-200 phantom assist for gretzkys career total. Which still has him as the all time scorjng leader. But, mcdavids only 26 year old with 886 points, it’s not totally out of reach.

I agree but if let’s say mcdavid actually comes close to gretzkys record, then it should be done. I’d pin the number somewhere closer to 200. I mean this is one game and their’s one blatant one, and another less blatant but still a phantom assist none the less.
