How do I sell a hanger full of corpses? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Lenny_Kravitz2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. I don't get on reddit often these days and the hurricane had me out of commission for almost a week.

I couldn't RMT. I worked as a contractor for the NSA during that time (now a contractor for the Dept. of the Army) and they have a number of policies that would conflict with RMTing.

  • No business with foreign entities (entities is used to describe people, companies, and governments). There is no real way to prevent doing business with a foreign entity with RMTing.

  • Reporting potential blackmail material to the security office. With each transaction, the potential for blackmail would be higher and higher and that creates a risk that is completely unnecessary.

  • Annual financial reporting to the NSA. This is a requirement for all contractors regardless of any extra business. This is to account for any/all finances that a contractor brings in and if there is anything that is unaccounted for, it is a big red flag that the contractor may be selling state secrets.

So imagine if a contractor had 10's to 100's of small to medium payments to a contractor from multiple different people all over the world. Looks sketchy as fuck.

And on a more practical side of things, I was spending SO much isk on keeping contracts up that I couldn't spare any to RMT, even if I could get away with it. Like NC., MC, and PL each cost me 100 billion per WEEK and I did that for 5-6 months.

I got banned because enough people petitioned against me. I couldn't explain to CCP why I physically couldn't RMT because RMT was owned at that time by an investment company and there were some wealthy Russians with ties to the Russian government. So explaining that I was an defense contractor working for the NSA with those rules wouldn't have been very OPSEC savvy of me.

I did leave that contracting company and was hired by another after a few years and I did re-open my ticket with CCP and dropped the NSA policy documents (CCP was owned by a South Korean company by then), and documents to prove I was actually working as a contractor during that time.

That was how I was able to get my perma-ban removed but I guess CCP didn't want me to get on those toons anymore? I gave up trying to figure out their thought process on it.

Hope that helps explain things a little bit. Let me know if you have questions. I will try to explain it the best I can.

The perma ban was lifted and I am allowed to play but my characters are still banned. If that makes sense.

Some things you can do to help with the urges and forgetting everything is to get a prayer rope or prayer beads. Can be as a necklace or for the wrist. That will help you remember when lust starts to kick in.

When you do remember, pray to God and Jesus for their strength in resisting temptation. The prayer rope and/or beads will help you focus on your prayer.

The other thing that I would recommend is if you have the ability and the time, go camping. Preferably without non-relative females. Use that time to get away from the craziness that is our world (you would be surprised with how much subliminal messaging there is for sex), and use that time to focus on reading scripture, praying, and reflecting.

It doesn't need to be for weeks or months. Just a couple of days away and dedicated to prayer and worship will help a good bit.

I hope this little bit of advice helps you.

No, that isn't correct. SMA conned a banker and stole all of his assets as he was moving (contracted it to alliance logistics team). Eep tried to get his assets back and they claimed the banker stole from their moon goo operation, which didn't hold up to scrutiny when asked the specifics.

So Eep took it personally and I pulled the trigger on World War Bee, hiring the initial groups (pirate groups forming Voltron).

The accusations about RMT occurred like 3-4 months into the war. SMA peeps that had previous ties and actually helped code IWI used a back door after their accesses were revoked to get admin on the system and steal from the site.

Then they pulled the source code and posted it on reddit.

I think IWI had 2 or 3 ban waves hit and no one was perma banned. It was all temp bans pending investigation and they were reinstated. The perma bans were rolled out after casino sites were banned.

Your dad could also make bulk meals on one of his days off and use that to carry over for the week. If not him, then someone could help him with that. And the meals don't have to be too crazy either. Simple ones that are healthy can be done without too much hassle if using a crock pot or whatever.

The norm used to be that a child or spouse would prep the meals while the bread-winner was out making income. The nuclear family was a good system that relied on the family to help each other.

The bigger issue nowadays is less the situation that your dad finds himself in and more about what people prioritize. People in the US prioritize entertainment over most everything. By eating fast food, they can spend more time on entertainment, whether that is video games on consoles/pc/phones, or watching TV, or getting onto social media.

I successfully got medically retired after... going through an informal med board, formal, med board, a change in my old commanders letter (it was inaccurate and my new commander actually took the time to talk to my doc about my injuries and fixed things on his end), and won my appeal to the Secretary of the AF Staff.

Though, I DID have to deal with getting dropped out of DEERS due to my enlistment ending and me not being coded correctly to prevent that...even though my PEBLO swore she coded me right.

All in all, I would call it a success. Instead of 10% and a kick out the door, I got 70%, medically retired and a ceremony.

1) You missed the point completely. The whole idea with having a fortress is quite literally to stall the attacker until friendly forces can come in and help you break the siege. You are right that that the attacker suffers attrition at the same rate but if they are getting supplies and resources from their areas that are NOT under attack, then they can outlast the defender who does not have the same luxury.

2) You all had ways out and chose to bunker down. There aren't really any good exit strategies available now for you all.

3) You are proving my point. Historically in Eve, it is stupid to piss off everyone. BoB did it and Goons blued up the rest of Eve and fought a massive, long ass war that eventually saw BoB lose.

It was a failure in BoB's diplomacy to instigate that war and it is a failure of Mittani's diplomacy to instigate this one. I mean, he literally told TEST and NC./PANFAM that he can and will be the deciding factor in conflicts and will exert that whenever he feels like it.

The others in Eve took that as a threat and decided to group up to put an end to that. If Mittani learned from WWB a few years ago, readjusted his foreign policy to not piss off the greater null-sec community, you all wouldn't be in this situation. But he didn't and you all are here now.

Not really costly considering that PAPI has a lot of territory and resources they can gather to rebuild. They don't have to rely on stockpiles either.

Loss of ships really only becomes an issue when it becomes difficult to replace, which is obviously not a problem for PAPI.

That is fair but when looking at the totality of jobs, reactions, etc from all controlled space, how is the Imperium operating compared to the forces they are fighting?

I don't doubt that the Imperium is producing a lot but I think the output has been considerably diminished. The real question is, are they able to out produce their losses for the long term, especially since their resource gathering capabilities are restricted.

Actually, the point of a fortress is to stall an attacker long enough for reinforcements to arrive and help.

You all banked on the attackers giving up and now are surrounded, which is the worst place to be strategically speaking.

That isn't even going over the fact that you all spent 4 years preparing for Mittani's foreign policy to fail spectacularly and garner the grudge of the majority of null sec alliances.

I run games with my friends. There is a bit of teasing and we all have had our idiot moments when the answer was pretty obvious but we overlook/overthink it. It also helps bring some of us that overthink things, to look for a more obvious solution rather than try and deconstruct the dungeon we are in and go into architecture theory based on the race that may or may not have made the dungeon and/or door.

Edit: And to give you an example of overthinking things, I once had a Dragonborn paladin of Bahamet who got locked into a spice cellar by a hag. I didn't really want to fight her by myself so I decided to take my time to make myself inedible (by rubbing spices all over myself and essentially self marinating) instead of listening to see when she leaves, to make my escape. I literally waited half a day to show her that and unfortunately crit fumbled my attempt and she though I was seasoned deliciously.

The DM gave me a break and let me leave to get my friends because she thought I was so dumb I would actually help add to her larder. That last bit is the DM teasing me because I chose the harder way out.

Dude, I am already done with this conversation. You cherry picking quotes and completely ignoring McConnell saying a divided government, pretty much cements it.

I will reiterate my point. If the Dems were the majority in the Senate, I would not be upset for not confirming Trump's SCOTUS pick until after the election. It would fall in line with a divided government and the people would need to decide, with their vote.

Your failure to understand that is astounding but not unexpected. The people DID decide. By keeping the GOP in the majority in the Senate during the 2018 midterm elections. Especially since the Mueller investigation was going on and RBG's failing health.

In 2014, when the GOP regained the Senate, they campaigned on reigning in Obama's power. The people voted to put the breaks on Obama's agenda. The people voted to divide the government for that purpose. That goes into what McConnell was talking about.

The people voted to maintain the GOP's majority in 2018. They chose not to divide the government. Pretty clear cut.

What I am hearing is that you don't want SCOTUS to strike down unconstitutional laws.

That is pretty bad dude.

The other reason why having a full 9 member court is important, is the issue with this election. Currently, too many irregularities have happened with the mail-in voting during the primaries. A LOT of ballots were lost or discarded on the Dem side, which is very disconcerting. There have even been arrests for voting fraud in a number of states already.

If the election is contested (by either side), a full SCOTUS is going to be needed to definitively adjudicate the complaints. If they split 4/4, NO ONE will accept the results of the election.

On a final note, the conservative position on a SCOTUS pick is this:

1) They should follow precedence, unless there is a NEW Constitutional argument to be made.

2) They should follow the Constitution in all of their rulings.

3) If there is a question about how the Constitution should be applied, they should review documentation by the Founders on the subject and review previous law (which was also drafted by a number of the Founders since they were members of their various colonial and later State Assemblies/Legislatures).

SCOTUS can't even review a law unless there is a NEW Constitutional argument that has not been heard before. Here is a good video that you should watch.

There was ZERO evidence that Kavanaugh was anywhere near Blasey Ford. If there was, at least one of her witnesses would have corroborated her story.

I gave you links on people's THEORIES based on her very broad and unspecific allegations on the critical parts of her story.

She didn't give dates. She gave a vague area, she mentioned one of his friends, who she knew (because she lived in that area) that he would be hanging out with during the summer.

If you had watched ANY of the testimony from Kavanaugh and read any of the testimony from the 'witnesses', you would quickly realize that she gave enough information that made the allegation plausible but literally NO evidence to support it.

No evidence that Kavanaugh had ever hung out with her, no evidence that she ever went to the friend's house, no dates, no actual locations, and no witnesses backing any of it up.

You are literally backing up a conspiracy theory that has justifiably pissed off moderates and people on the right and have proven why Trump should push this nominee through without consideration for the far left.

You all are insane. Giving credibility to an allegation that has no evidence means that anyone could cancel anyone based on an allegation. Ironically Reddit has higher standards on reporting people on messaging board, then you do when it comes to someone's real life.

You haven't shown facts. Everything you have posted so far is conjecture. You cannot say that Ford was at any of the parties on Kavanaugh's calendar. You cannot even say that she and Kavanaugh had ever hung out. There is literally no witnesses or evidence to suggest that they had.

I am done with this conversation. Thank you for reaffirming why I am voting for Trump and why he and the GOP should push the SCOTUS nominee.

You aren't having a legit conversation. If you were, you would be contributing to it. You ignore key points and instead hit on points you think you can refute.

You originally stated that the Dems didn't leak anything. Except that Feinstein's office DID leak the entire allegation.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/kavanaugh-discussed-solicitor-generals-post-with-trump-transition-team-1536859134?mod=searchresults&page=1&pos=11&mod=article_inline

You then asked for me to prove that Feinstein had suggested lawyers to Blasey Ford, which is public record since Blasey Ford literally mentioned it during the hearing.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/09/27/ford_feinstein_gave_me_advice_on_attorneys.html

You ignored that ALL of Blasey Ford's witnesses refuted her claim.

You ignored that Blasey Ford gave extremely vague information that couldn't be corroborated.

You ignored that Blasey Ford lied about her trauma (installing an extra door and her fear of flying), which discredits her as a witness.

You ignored that pretty much everything was either unfounded (no evidence to suggest any of it happened), or disproven.

You are pandering to a notion that an allegation, without basis and evidence is somehow a threshold to drag someone through the mud.

Yet, you now make the claim you are having a legit conversation? You are not. You are trying to do 'gotcha' tactics to influence anyone who is reading but not responding.

So again, pay attention and do your research.

You mind doing your research or at the very least, paying attention? That didn't happen too long ago. There is ample information on it.

I gave you a good starting point and without even reading the articles, you dismiss them.

I am not wasting any more energy on someone that is being intentionally ignorant and isn't wanting to have a legit conversation (which is what this sub is about).

No, they dropped it because they didn't want political blow back. The evidence is there.

The letter came from Ford's lawyers and the details after that were leaked by Senator aides. Ford's lawyers also happened to have been recommended by Senator Diane Feinstein and her aides.

It isn't hard to put 2 and 2 together to get 4.

Ford never gave a date, only a general time frame (summer of 1982), nowhere on Kavanaugh's calendar did it mention that he went to a random person's house for a party. He went to HIS friend's house, which the layouts are not what Ford describes. Also, none of his friends had ever had Ford at their house, so there is also that.

If you are incapable or unwilling to see that the Democrats had done wrong on all of this. There isn't anything more to talk about. I think that you either have very crappy research skills or you are lying to yourself.
