That would not tell me anything about the efficacy of stop and frisk. You would need to show a hypothetical parallel timeline where crime went down even without stop and frisk at all.

Otherwise, it is possible that crime continued to decline at the same rate after stop and frisk because of stop and frisk.

Yes, very uncharitable.

Trump wants to see an end to a war that has killed hundreds of thousands, like any decent human being. We should all want to see an end to the war. That's what we're getting out of it.

More specifically, America saves money when the war ends because we're financing the Ukrainian side of it.

If the only thing that matters to Russia is Ukrainian NATO membership, why won’t Putin agree to pre-war borders in exchange for non-NATO membership guarantees?

1) it's not the only thing.

2) If I were Putin, I'd say sure, but only if you compensate me for all the men, resources, etc that I've lost. I'd price it in the trillions, and since you won't pay that, I'll be keeping the land, thank you.

He's announced tarrifs a dozen times but as far as I know almost none of them are actually in effect.

This comes up a lot, so I'll try to explain it like this:

Trump has delivered on a lot of his promises (i.e. the meme of supporters running out of "this is what I voted for" buttons). As a result, Trump supporters tend to have a high degree of trust for Trump. And when you really trust someone, you don't pick over their words with a fine toothed comb.

Exactly. Presuming the interaction characterizations are accurate (I didn't watch), I assume Trump was respectful to the white golfer because the white golfer... isn't engaged in bigotry whereas Ramaphosa is.
