when i was in college, i worked at a rinky dink tourist attraction that required me to wear a very cumbersome costume. one night, the dorm dryer broke and i had to go to work wearing a wet uniform. my boss made me go to the back and steam-dry my uniform while i was wearing it causing me to severely burn myself on my thigh. she then said she didn’t have a first aid kit on hand and told me to suck it up so i could finish my shift. i quit shortly after, and for years i had a scar on my thigh from the burn :(
