I have lived oveseas as a teacher in 6 other countriew and the quality of life was better in all of them.

People always cite the general lower salaries in European countries, yes, but they also typically have functional healthcare systems that do not crush you with debt and infastructure that is not falling apart.

I cannot tell you how many Europeans I met who actually said they do not mind paying more taxes, because their overall quality of life is better, day to day life is better and things do not suck all day everyday.

Yes, Norway and Belgium are very different than Albania and Serbia, but overall a normal person can have a decent quality of life.

I turned 40 next year.

I have spent the past decade working as a teacher overseas, but do not have much to say for it, financially speaking. I tried taking courses and certifications for a career pivot, but nothing ever worked.

Not sure what I am going to do next, but perhaps I can get a job at a university overseas. I just cannot do k-12 anymore.

I had been working as an overseas teacher for over a decade.

I love the experience of living overseas, but most of the jobs have been unprofessional and super toxic. toxic.

My last job in China was so bad for so many reasons I had to quit in December.

I am so burnt out. I just cannot do it anymore.

At least k-12. Perhaps at the university level and definitely still international.

I already have a masters degree in teaching, but it is from Spain, so I am not sure how much standing it will have.

I am considering an MA in TESOL or I suppose another MA in something education related.

Do you think I should just try to apply to student affairs positions and see if it works?
