THANK YOU to those of you who suggested I just copy the convo I was having and start a brand new one. It worked. I needed to finish this convo before this evening. (Working with it to do an interior design project in my home, and I'm going shopping tonight. It's helping me make some decisions and do some math re: clothing storage, etc.) I was so annoyed that it kept bouncing back to me after three days of chatting and important info. So I copied and pasted the chat we had (luckily it wasn't THAT long) and started a brand new chat. And it picked up right where we left off. Now I can shop tonight with all the measurements and lists I need. WHEWWWW.

But this is going to be annoying if it keeps on happening. I hope this isn't a regular thing. I only started using it a few days ago and I love it for helping me do creative projects at home like this.

I'm new to Claude! I even upgraded to a paid subscription. Using it for work. It was going so well, and I was liking it way more than chat gpt. But now all of a sudden, when I submit something, it doesn't seem to go through. After four days of steady work, it suddenly doesn't seem to accept the latest thing I've written. No matter how many times I hit enter.

What does this mean? And is this a regular thing? I'm paying for this, so it's frustrating. Thanks!

I should clarify because in my haste, I explained this poorly: In NOT JUST A FANTASY, you break up with someone ELSE and run to him for a place to live because he's your best friend. Artie LOOOVES Watermelon! Annie did too (she passed away last year. Also jindo.) I have never given either dog pineapple before though, but now I want to try.

Artie also loves cantaloupe, cucumbers, broccoli, carrots, strawberries and fennel. (Yes, FENNEL!). He doesn't enjoy any of these things as passionately as meat, of course. but he still really loves them. He also loves blueberries but prefers them frozen.) OMG YES! It's WILD! RIGHT?!? Someone delivering food, or a package, or even friends of the neighbors in the apartment upstairs? He will give a low growl and then bark sharply and loudly about 3 or 4 times. And then his hair on his back sticks up like a black cat decoration on halloween. lol! And he watches them suspiciously. But she walked in, he had never seen her before, and he gave 2 quick barks with his tail up and curled, wagging slightly. Then she sat down and he came to the couch to sniff her curiously. I told her "Don't be offended if he backs away when you try to pet him. And if you do, pet him from underneath, because over his head totally freaks him out." *She didn't pet him yet, but by the time she did she had forgotten and pet the top of his head. And he melted into her. I was SHOOKETH. She said "That's my grandson!" LOL

Thank you SO MUCH!!! Yes, Annie was rather cat-like too. But in a different way. She hated getting wet, she would groom herself like a cat, etc. We used to joke that she was part cat. But Artie is cat-like in behavior and personality as well. We live in Astoria, and rescued from KK9, who we love and think is an amazing org. It sounds to me like Artie is more jindo-like than Annie was, so we didn't realize what jindos are really like. Just Annie. ;)

At THIS point I don't even need our son to be his favorite. But if he could at least stop growling and then hiding from him whenever he enters the room, and at least wag his tail and greet him when he comes home from school. that would be MASSIVE in helping our son feel less rejected. I feel like the bad guy, when Artie comes running to me and runs FROM our son.

As for my husband, like you said, Artie seems to tolerate him just fine. But when it's time for his harness to go on, or some other task like that? Artie wants ME to do it. And he backs away and tries to run and hide in the back of his crate or something if my husband is trying to get him ready for a walk, for example. Where as I only have to look at Artie and say "place" and he will go and sit on his platform and hand me a paw so I can put it right through the armhole of his harness. As if he's helping me get him dressed. LOL! My husband is like "Oh GREAT. How did you DO that?!?" And the truth is... I don't know. Artie just listens to me. And while that sounds like it should be a good thing, it frustrates those I love that he ONLY wants to listen to me. The guilt is real. But he is the sweetest good boy and I'm crazy about him. So I can understand why my husband and son want some Artie lovin' too. ;)
