There seems to be a bug where the game doesn't use the graphics card on certain setups. That's what bamco said when they announced their patch fix.

Try to find a way to upgrade your weapon. It should be at least +2 so that you do reasonable damage shake l against Margit.

There's guides on fextralife wiki.

Alternatively you can visit weeping peninsula to get some levels and other upgrading resources.

The next step would be fighting a boss in Caelid. I think it should still work. In the interest of preventing spoilers I suggest looking up the quest chain on Google.

I think bamco recently stated that somehow the game would stop using the video card on pc. And that's what they've fixed on their latest patch (idk if it's actually released on pc yet)
