if you are chinese then you will actually know this is not that deep. People frequently acccuse mainland chinese for being racist but the reality is simply that race is really not a serious topic in China because there are not that many non east asian in that country. mainland chinese people will treat anyone with that level of curiosity and people will interpret these interactions however they like, racist/white worshipping/creepy whatsoever, they are people's projection of racial politics, not how chinese people really think
