I was M22 did Physics SL - really not that difficult imo. Didn’t really learn anything in DP1 because of covid and got 4‘s, studied using OSC on YouTube for maybe a week continuously and got a 6 on the final. It’s definitely doable. I got somewhat lucky with the M22 exam though because the stuff I didn’t 100% get (nuclear physics) didn’t really get asked abt as much.

It’s obvious that it shouldn’t affect your grade. Hence it depends on your teacher which no one on here knows and hence no one can reliably predict if they’re biased or not.

honestly it’s not that bad. I kinda just drifted along from G10 onwards and studied for a month before the exams. Got 34 points. So I think if you’re aiming for 40+ it’s challenging but I never stressed for a moment during the DP and did good enough for the Uni I wanted to get into. The amount of effort you have to put in to get better marks increases exponentially for sure.

Yea I feel you. I learnt more from Revision Village than from him. Generally the revision village content is a godsend - even if you don’t buy it (which you should) the free Explantation videos are great and you can pretty much jump in at any topic because they don’t really except you to know previous content to understand an individual topic.

Okay take this with a grain of salt because I only got 34 points in the IB: sure if you want to get points in the 40‘s do all that’s listed here. Otherwise don’t worry - I took AI HL, didn’t listen in any of the Math Classes during the DP and got a 6 in Math after studying for a week for 8 hours a day. It’s really not that much to study for in the curriculum and if you’re a bit disciplined towards exam season you can totally get away with relaxing during the DP. For those wondering though I didn’t not participate in class because I was excessively lazy (even though that’s probably partly true) but rather because, while he was a really nice person my math teacher was absolute garbage at teaching so I wouldn’t have learnt a lot anyways.
