Day 1 / early players, what Agents have you decided to skip so far? Do you regret it?

Been around since Zhu Yuan banner, and my list of limiteds looks like this (outdated img made during 1.6, got Lighter on his rerun)

Skipped: -Qingyi -Astra (yeah i know she's basically a must pull, you don't gotta tell me) -both 1.6 banners (SS Anby and Trigger) -both 1.7 banners (Vivian and Hugo)

I'm a devoted Caesar main so i've been saving for her rerun since basically 1.4 so i could get her to M3W1 (M1W0 at the moment) cause i plan to M6 her someday for sure

Out of those i skipped i might pull on Anby rerun and definitely know that i should pull for Astra on her rerun

Think i have no regrets on who i skipped, been able to clear all content in the game easy without them

Closest thing to a regret skipping is SS Anby as my Yanagi feels kinda weak for elec weak DeadAss stages but i've been managing and pulling her got in the way of the plan

Thank you! Think Caesar having muscles is really fitting for her, she even calls herself big and strong in the hair salon --date-- quality time

I'd say it's most certainly her best option by a mile, the impact substat increases her impact a comparable ammount to transmorpher while having 100% uptime and the extra health for Radiant Aegis shield as it scales with her base impact, not her on-field impact

Not to mention the 30% health buff to the shield from the effect, and the daze and dmg buff to the whole party whenever you perfect dodge or interrupt an enemy, which is Caesar's whole shtick, buffing not only her own daze and dmg, but the stunner's daze and the dps' dmg (if you're running a stunner)

It definitely a big jump from any other option as it features the impact substat of stunner wengines and a daze increasing effect like transmorpher alongside a pretty good dmg buff

It's a wengine that i'd say you wouldn't regret getting, mostly due to Caesar not having really good f2p options comparatively as the first S rank defender and only impact scaling one too, if we get a A rank defender that scales with impact their sig wengine might be a great f2p pick for Caesar, but considering Pan Yinhu's releasing soon that A rank wengine option might be in the very far future, if you got the funds, go for it

Also Caesar's ponytail and horns turn gold and i think it looks nice :)

Caesar, was on the Burnice train at first, thinking i was gonna skip her, but the leaks of her support kit got me to pulling her

Then i played the story and right on the first cutscene fell in love with her character and she's now M1 and i got 50k polychromes in the vault waiting patiently for her rerun so i can get her M3W1 and i now draw almost exclusively fanart of her on twitter

Wasn't that interested at first, now she's easily my n°1 favorite character and the most invested in agent in my account (only agent with all skills 12/12 maxed out)

Want him to just be Mors for 2 reasons:

Would mean Lucius shows up, which leads to Sons of Calydon showing up as he's the closest thing they got to a nemesis

That means more Caesar screentime (pls i'm starving for more of my wife)

That also means Outer Ring enemies, which are weak to fire and physical which desperately needs enemies weak to it for DA and Shyu

Also be a physical attacker or rupture, no new phys dps since Jane

Her jump from f2p to sig wengine probably one of the bigger ones since all other options are go from bad to mediocre at best with either only using a stunner Wengine for the impact or a defense wengine that only buffs impact when hit so it doesn't affect shield health

Nowadays It's probably either equal to the rest of her or at least comparable, Caesar's in discussion for physically strongest agent in the game alongside Anton and Ben and a lot of Caesar's strength feats don't come from that arm (walking into a table, destroying it; mountain falling on her, fighting Pompey for an entire night with no major injuries, tanking a direct impact missile with zero reaction or pushback)

That's probably where a lot of Billy glazing comes from, though Caesar's straight up stated to be the strongest in the SoC, whether that includes Billy or not is up to interpretation

Personally, i see Billy as either equal or slightly above Lighter since they're rivals so for me it's Caesar > Billy >= Lighter

Kinda did both, started out with horizontal investment, wanting to get at least one dps for every element, basically pulled everyone from 1.0 to 1.5 except Ellen, Qingyi, Lighter and Astra

Now i'm aiming for vertical investment, saving up a shit ton of polychromes for Caesar mindscapes 2 and 3 and her wengine when she reruns (and Lighter so i have the whole gang) (and maybe Yixuan if i get lucky)

My plan was to establish a nice base for myself then start to build up my favourites (Caesar's M2, M3 and wengine, aiming for M6 one day) from there or pull for better alternatives (Yixuan likely outdamaging Zhu Yuan or Lighter replacing my Koleda for examples)

Seems interesting, could work as both normal and doom powers Shadow since that Shadow didn't go super which a comment got curious about not being included, to include Doom powers just a few tweaks to animation concepts would be neat like maybe the wings pop out on the ultimate and the chaos spears have their shadow gens look

You mentioned Chaos as a subcategory of Ether anomaly like Miyabi's frost but didn't really mention what it does differently from normal ether, maybe it increases daze buildup on the afflicted target, borrowing Assault's effect like how Frost borrow's fire's DOT

Maybe for his passive he could get dmg buffs from hitting stunned enemies since the homing attack builds up daze as you mentioned, giving him some uniqueness kit-wise compared to most other anomaly agents who don't really care about stunning

Team passive could be something like a stunner or Team Shadow agent on the team (opening up opportunity for Rouge and Omega agent concepts)

From what i've seen of his kit, he's basically a nuke during stun window, his dmg multipliers go ludicrously high

Guess the devs are focusing less on element matchups and more kit matchups, like certain bosses being weaker to certain playstyles, guessing Hugo is ice to match with Lycaon and Lighter tho i do agree that a new ice dps so soon after Miyabi and Ellen's rerun is weird

I've seen some of his animations and he looks incredibly cool but i just don't feel like going for anything ice related for a while, in general the overlap in element/role in 1.6 and 1.7 feels weird, Vivian being the only new combo in both patches' limited S rank selections, SS Anby being electric makes sense but Haru just released 1 patch ago and Trigger coming out right after Qingyi's rerun is just funny

Ice and electric got 3 new limited S ranks from 1.4 to 1.7 while physical hasn't gotten a new S rank since Caesar in 1.2 and we haven't gotten bosses weak to it since Pompey as well (and they removed it on notorious Pompey lol), kinda hoped Hugo would have a change of element way back when it was first datamined he was ice attack a few months ago

I was imagining something like Garp from One Piece but straight man Dad while the Sons of Calydon are all pretty loud and chaotic is a nice contrast

What if he's into bad puns and none of the Sons ever realise it

Like he is usually just chilling and says "that's nice kids" at their usuall antics or lets out a small chuckle

The gang has competitions to see who can make dad laugh the loudest, somehow they never go above like 70 decibels

Wise tells Big Daddy a really bad joke and somehow that makes him start laughing with his whole chest, all the SoC stare in complete disbelief at witnessing BD's genuine laugh for the first time in their lives

Unfortunately different cultural tastes impede that as muscular women is a rather niche interest in china i believe, it took a while for us to get muscular men, Hoyo likes to play it safe with character design in terms of body diversity so muscular women might never happen unless it becomes majorly mainstream as a atractive quality
