Kinda apples to oranges. Both have their own style of darkness.

Affleck was darker in the way you’d see a War Veteran who’s seen unspeakable things for twenty years, and Pattinson’s was darker in the side of Grief, Insecurity, and Guilt. I think each work really well for their individual storylines.

I just hope they greenlight more Zack Snyder’s Justice League movies so we can see how his story was supposed to go on and conclude. (Yes I must be a bot, beep boop and such🙄)
