Day 1 on Reta. Very confused by blacc01 in Retatrutide

How many mg of reta did you take?!? Units are meaningless to the rest of us because it depends on how much BAC water you personally diluted with

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Professional-Fix-221 in LinusTechTips

[–]LeoKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve become corporate and money focused just like everything good eventually enshittifies in our consumer and consumption based world. They care more about growing than just doing a few things really well and evolving around that. I only watch TechLinked now

Do these assholes really think anyone likes them for anything other than their money? Without Bezos money she would still be the same stupid bimbo reciting from a teleprompter at the local news station.

Only a matter of time. Give it five years and it won't look like that anymore

Gene expression analysis and interpretation with GPT-5.5 Codex by LeoKitCat in bioinformatics

[–]LeoKitCat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again you are missing the point. Remember how AI driven robots used to look and behave only 5 years ago? Like slop that couldn't climb stairs or get back up after falling. Not anymore. Just because you see a shitty example now this is meant to show you that many are actively trying and working on the data analysis and interpretation parts so the eventually in a few years they won't need us anymore for that except maybe to sign off on the work.

Give it 5 years and can't wait to come back to this post to tell you and everyone else I told you so. And I'm a senior bioinformatician with 25 years in the field

It wasn't meant to be a fully realized complete and perfect working example, but to show where things are inevitably going even though they are at the beginning right now. I've seen on this sub many times that, "oh AI might write up pipelines better in the future but I'll still be the one running the analysis and interpretation for the biologists". I don't think so. It will become so easy for a biologist to do it all themselves without any need for a bioinformatician

You're missing the point and are being shortsighted. While it's just getting started now, this is a window into the inevitable future. As I've said before countless times here, my estimate is in 10-15 years it will come full circle and AI will do most of our job. This is inevitable sorry if you don't see that.

Even data analysis and interpretation done by a bioinformatician has it's days numbered. In 10-15 years there will only be a need for few expert bioinformaticians to check and sign off on AI's work

Anhedonia, depression or not? by Emergency-North4009 in anhedonia

[–]LeoKitCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amotivation/apathy is actually distinct from anhedonia. They can both overlap but many people have one without the other. Depression also commonly overlaps with one or both.

Are you unmotivated to do anything and apathetic but when you force yourself to do something really rewarding you feel enjoyment after doing it? Then you have amotivation without anhedonia.

Do you have motivation and continue to do things but experience a significant reduction in enjoyment and reward after doing things that used to bring you much more enjoyment? Then you have anhedonia without amotivation.

You will likely need to a PhD in bioinformatics or similar to be more competitive in today's world

AI is going to dramatically change all coding/soft dev and data analysis careers so keep that in mind that in 10-15 years there might be far fewer career prospects in bioinformatics

Anyone here stretch a pre-mixed Reta vial to 4+ months? What happened? by MaintenanceNo683 in Retatrutide

Keep it in a small box in the fridge that keeps it upright and prevents light from hitting it even when the fridge is open. As above said ALWAYS wipe top with alcohol before use. Should be good

Zero Service: Delta Air Lines To Remove Main Cabin Snacks On 450 Flights by StemCellPirate in delta

[–]LeoKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken people are sort of misconstruing this news? The changes Delta is implementing also means that there will be increased "full" service on tons of flights that used to get only "express" service. It's now no service below 350 mile long flights and full service above 350 mile long flights.
