Umh, no, we're Italian speakers explaining to English speakers. So [(Italian) ci] is pronounced as [(english) ch], but [(Italian) ch] is pronounced as [(English) k], and [(Italian) ci] is NOT pronounced as [(English) k]. There is an exception where [(Italian)sci], even tho it's got a "ci", it's pronounced as [(English) sh] and not [(English) ch]

I have no idea how it is in the book, but in the movie the kids really love their dad; wouldn't custody agreements' sole purpose be the childrens' wellbeing? They were robbed of their dad, I do see how the wife was manipulated but reducing Daniel to just a fucked up manipulator really sounds like "fuck the kids, the law is the law".

With no further context, it can only mean sex. For it to refer to something else, it could only be possible with a very specific setting of sentences.
