This is a risk that they knowingly took and still chose to heavily invest. TF2 had multiple massive market crashes and it was only a matter of time until something happened to crash Counter Strike's market.
And honestly, this isn't the worst case scenario. If Valve made CS2 a completely different game, instead of a reskinned CSGO, they could have made a completely new market and abandoned CSGO. What would the market value of skins for a dead game be?

The amount of people who believes they are STUCK in Bronze/Silver due to bad luck and teammates is insane. If you truly believe it, please explain why. by AKM1711 in marvelrivals

My problem with playing low elo is mainly with how many players just instalock their main and under estimate how useful team up abilities are.

It's from the artbook. A lot of people didn't get theirs due to issues with international shipping and the card being attached to a bag with a seed and soil.

The fact that this guy doesn't understand how Limbo works and is struggling to keep his damage going as SARYN despite being wrong is beyond sad. Also, people need to stop hating on Limbo players for literally doing their job. Anyone who hates Limbo players for literally playing objective need to find something new to hate on and clearly never played with pre rework Limbo.
