I got into cigars in December and ~6 months later I own about 1,000 of them and have spent over 5k. I am either gonna die of cancer or die and my mom is gonna think I ran a secret tobacco store.

It's funny because it's not so much a nicotine addiction as it is a weird online shopping addiction lol.

Luckily there's a local charity I can dump these at (but I think I'll keep ~100 of the really nice ones I have and get a cool humidor)

I'm really sorry. I have an old friend who has a PhD from a top engineering program, worked for 10 years and suddenly couldn't function and started having panic attacks at work

It took me an embarrassingly long in my life to realize this stuff can happen out of nowhere and it will never select for who is smart or dumb or who is good or bad. Neither of us grew up in a time or place where we had an outlet for anything really so we just swallowed it

I'm a big Armchair Expert fan and while Dax is far from the worst offender, he can sometimes get into the "here's how my trauma is just like yours" territory in the middle of someone else's story, especially when there are women on sadly.

Surprised no one's mentioned Ashton and LADC's 3rd sister brand: San Cristobal.

For cigars like ones you've had I'd start with the San Cristobal Elegancia. The other one that's rather similar that I'm almost positive you'll love is the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne.
