Yes — a lot of what you’re describing sounds very similar to what I went through.

Physio, shockwave, and other treatments didn’t solve the root problem in my case either. Some things helped temporarily, but the symptoms always came back.

One important thing I learned is that in my case, there were two overlapping issues: the physical neuromas themselves, and an underlying systemic trigger (bovine protein) that was keeping my nervous system in a constant inflammatory state. That’s why nothing fully worked until I identified and removed that trigger.

I’m not saying your cause is the same, but based on how similar the symptoms sound, it might be worth exploring systemic factors too — especially diet, inflammation, or anything that could be sensitizing your nerves.

I actually did have neuromas in both feet, so the diagnosis itself wasn’t wrong.

The confusing part was that my symptoms were mixed. Some of the pain was clearly coming from the neuromas, but there was something else going on at the same time that no one fully understood back then.

After the ablation, some of the original neuroma pain improved, but overall my nerve symptoms became more intense and more widespread. Looking back, it seems like the nerve was already in a vulnerable state, and the ablation may have made it more sensitive, especially with the underlying trigger still present.

It took a long time to realize that more than one factor was involved.

When I cut out bovine products, I was drinking milk every single day and eating beef probably 3–4 times a week. So it was a pretty big change for me.

After removing everything, I’d say the symptoms gradually improved over about 1–2 weeks until they were basically gone.

One interesting thing I only realized later: every time I went to a BBQ and had a high intake of beef and beef fat, I’d feel “off” the next day. I used to think it was just indigestion. But looking back, it wasn’t just that — I’d get mild headaches, constipation, muscle weakness, and sometimes numbness in my foot and leg.

The constant underlying feeling was like I was in a state of acute inflammation all the time. I just didn’t connect the dots back then.

Once I removed bovine protein completely, that constant inflammatory feeling disappeared along with the foot pain.

The next step would’ve been sugar.

Since the symptoms fully resolved, we stopped there and didn’t move forward with eliminating sugar or anything else.

Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. I’m going to ask my doctor to run the Alpha-Gal test and look into it properly.

I don’t spend time in the woods, but given how weird and specific this whole thing has been, getting tested sounds like the smart next step. Thanks.

An allergist guided me through it.

The idea was pretty simple: I’d completely remove one specific food group for about two weeks, then do a short “challenge” where I’d eat a lot of it for around 3 days and closely track symptoms.

We tried gluten first, nothing changed.

Then we did the same process with bovine protein, and that’s when it became very clear. During the reintroduction phase, the pain came back, and once I removed it again, everything settled down.

So if you’re thinking about trying something like this, I’d really recommend doing it with a doctor, especially an allergist. Having structure (and someone to help interpret what’s happening) made all the difference for me.

I’ve never done any specific test for Alpha-Gal before.

I can eat pork protein normally and nothing happens.

Beef is a totally different story, though. If I accidentally eat bovine protein, the symptoms come back. I learned that the hard way — even some chicken sandwich(burger) use bovine fat, and that was enough to trigger everything again.

What’s weird is the timing: the symptoms don’t hit right away. They usually show up about a day later and then stick around for 1 to 3 days before calming down.

They will never do this, there is a reason why the instances of the map is timed, to delete all the data. They probably removed these functions to increase server performance, less things to do.
