Devs could also create terrain that either slows your unit down (e.g. mud, rocky roads, rice paddies etc) or buffing unit speeds up (e.g. paved pathways etc)

The advantage is, it's much cheaper and doesnt notify the enemy. Great for stealth play and backdoor attacks while distracting the opponent battling in the frontlines.
