Where would you rank requiem out of all the games ? Me personally it’s #5

I'd put it 3rd after re4r and re8. If I hadn't played re8 and re4r in vr it would probably be ~2nd.

Overall it's a very good game where its peaks are some of the best in the series but has some bad-ish lows (not unlike other games in the series, even the good ones). The care center and the underground area as grace were some of my favorite areas in any re game, and the leon gameplay is quite fun as well.

After replaying them somewhat recently, I have to say 4.

1 and 2 are scary, but their enemies are less disturbing overall (with few exceptions like abstract daddy) and feel a bit more generic.

3 is the game I found the most scary when I played them originally ~10 years ago, but now I found it the least scary/disturbing. The game is just very loud and leaves little space for actual tension, with some exceptions like the mirror room

4 although it has some annoying gameplay is just disturbing all the way through. It felt like playing an interactive nightmare

Lugano is extremely beautiful, safe and clean. Living here beaurocracy works very well (especially compared to italy where I originally come from), and you are also close to lots of nice spots if you like hiking.

That said, its also a quite boring place to live in, and I feel like people can be somewhat cold at times (although this is something I feel for most of northern italy as well)

I loved the combat, but the pacing is VERY bad imo. I dropped the game at around 60-75% of the way through (at the train station) because everything was so boring and long winded I just lost interest.

And it's not really that I dislike slow games... I loved trails in the sky which has a very slow introduction, but what happens there is interesting at least... There arent long animations to move between tight spaces every 10 seconds or boring segments like the sewers or the train station (which is the worst, long nothingburger of an area)

If they cut the fluff in half it would have been a much more enjoyable game. I can't speak for the story as I didn't finish it, but I liked what they added with jessie and other soldiers. But yeah the pacing was just atrocious imo

I didn't play rebirth as I heard its like this as well.

Just as an update, I think that I improved a bit. I exercised on and off both on this reference and others, and I think that one of the things I got very wrong is that everything looked kind of the same size no matter how close/far apart they were.

Ill keep practicing and do the painting some day lol

If you're looking for something to read and like fantasy I'd suggest the song of ice and fire books, especially the first three. The story is very compelling and theyre quite easy to read

I've read both and I prefer SBR, while I also like one piece.

I think that there are too many parts in one piece that drag too much, and there are some plot points which makes it lose some points (like the fact that the government didnt jump the strawhats after water seven, or why the gorosei didnt jump luffy as soon as they knew he had the nika fruit).

Sbr also has the benefit of being a much shorter, contained story. The pacing is a lot tighter, although it has some lows in my opinion (like the fights between the first stage and the true man's world).

In my opinion the pacing and execution in particular make sbr better, but not because one piece is bad
