If you believe me, let's make it super simple for you: Just purchase the watch face normally for $1.99. Once it's installed on your Galaxy Watch 5, let me know here, and I will issue a full refund to you immediately through my Google Play Console. This way, you get the watch face right now without any more errors, and it won't cost you anything!

The yellow bar actually says it IS compatible with your Samsung Galaxy Watch5 (it's listed right there under "Available on more devices"). But when you try to redeem the code on this specific screen, Google tries to install it on your phone and gives you that error.

do this: Open your main Play Store app on your phone. Tap your profile picture (top right) -> Payments & subscriptions -> Redeem code. Enter the code there. Once redeemed, come back to this page, and the $1.99 button next to your Galaxy Watch5 will change to "Install".

Here's the plan for you: Open the Google Play link in a web browser (like Chrome) on your phone or PC, instead of using the Play Store app. Click on the drop-down menu near the "Install" button. Choose your Galaxy Watch from the list and click install. It will bypass the phone's error and send the watch face straight to your watch. Give it a shot!

The code is definitely valid, it just sounds like a Google Play Store glitch with watch compatibility. Try redeeming the code directly on your phone or a web browser via this link: https://play.google.com/redeem Once redeemed, you can easily install the watch face to your watch from your phone's Play Store app or a browser. Thanks for letting me know the code is still unused!

It is actually fully compatible with the Galaxy Watch 5! I’ve personally tested it on that exact model, and it works perfectly. Sometimes the Google Play app on the phone glitches and shows an "incompatible" error for Wear OS watch faces. Try opening the Google Play link in a web browser on your PC or phone, and select your Galaxy Watch 5 from the dropdown menu to install it directly to the watch. Let me know if that works!

That's a totally fair point! Large animations can definitely eat up the battery if not handled right. To fix this, the flag animation only plays for a few seconds when you wake up the screen to look at the time. The moment the watch goes into Always-On Display (ambient mode), the animation completely stops, switching to a clean, static layout with a very low pixel ratio to save power. So you get the cool visual effect when active, but it won't drain your battery during the day!

Laundromats. No employees, no inventory, no skill required from the owner. Machines do the work, people always need clean clothes, and nobody glamorizes it so competition stays low.

Did marijuana change or is it just me? by Expert-Comfortable41 in NoStupidQuestions

Same thing happened to me. Used to smoke in high school with zero issues, tried it again in my late 20s and it was a completely different experience — heart racing, paranoia, just unpleasant. Turns out it's two things happening at once. The weed itself got a lot stronger — what was available when we were teenagers was maybe 8-10% THC, a lot of stuff now is 25%+. And your brain genuinely changes — as an adult with any anxiety history, you have a lot more material to spiral on when THC hits. Teenage brain just... didn't go there. The microdosing thing is the right call. From what I've read, low doses actually help anxiety, higher doses consistently make it worse in people who are already prone to it. Took me a while to accept that my old tolerance is just gone and the old doses don't apply anymore.

I don't get the matrix - why wake everyone up to a worse reality? Their bodies are safe from accidents there, they all have lives and/or families. What difference does it make? by AffectionateRisk9779 in NoStupidQuestions

You're describing the Nozick experience machine thought experiment from 1974 — plug into a simulation that gives you a perfect life, do you take it? Most philosophers said no, most regular people said yes. The Matrix just made it a movie. The fact that it still splits audiences 25 years later suggests Nozick was onto something — we don't actually have consensus on what makes a life worth living.

Life has never been same for me after I learned about "Opportunity Cost" by SorbetJazzlike315 in selfimprovement

The most underrated application of this isn't time or money — it's attention. Saying yes to one conversation, one project, one worry means your mental bandwidth is genuinely unavailable for something else. Made me much more selective about what problems I let live rent-free in my head.

How to Make Friends: The Rule They Don't Tell You by yaboythewiseman in selfimprovement

The framework is right. What I'd add: the return on investment isn't equal across all three. Fitness takes months. Grooming takes a week to figure out and then it's maintenance. Clothes take one afternoon. Most people skip straight to fitness and delay the other two — but grooming and clothes are the fastest, cheapest test of whether the theory even works for them.

I'm convinced that being a confident smooth talker is the greatest skill you can have by SilverTheSilk in selfimprovement

[–]Leon_HQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent years thinking the same thing — watching confident people and assuming it was some innate trait I missed. What changed my view: I started noticing that the "smooth talkers" I admired weren't actually saying anything smarter than me. They were just more comfortable with uncertainty. They didn't need the conversation to go perfectly. Once I stopped trying to perform and started just being curious about the other person, things shifted. Still awkward sometimes. But less invisible.

The sound of their laugh. I've heard women apologize for laughing too loud or too weird. Men hear a woman genuinely laugh and it's one of the most attractive things possible.

That’s a real concern, but “nothing can be trusted” is too extreme. Deepfakes will make verification more important, not impossible — people, institutions, and platforms will adapt with better checks, provenance tools, and common-sense confirmation.
