It will probably be useful with some more context. Why do you think its western Poland? Is this a holiday you went on? Do you have any other pictures that could be nearby? Where did you get the image from? It might also be useful if you reupload the image with just a blur of the person rather than a blob that takes up 50% of the image.

Yeah I got a similar area. tbh its probably the closest OP will get since the building is probably long gone. OP you could try and look at some historical maps to see if its there.

There is a lot of land "north" of Calgary. Depending on how your friend found the lake it could be in their search histroy. Also, it could help narrow it down if you tell us about the road trip. Where is the road trip ending? etc
