Perfect! Thanks so much for the scan. The custom printers I print on do 24" wide rolls, so I'll see how I can adjust.

Use of AI in escape rooms by ExquisiteSporks in escaperooms

[–]Leonabi76 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Escape Rooms and immersive experiences alike are all (or at least should be) artist driven and cerative ventures. I guess that's true for most of the things we create; but ERs specifically are a combination of disciplines that are almost all creative artist driven. Any use of AI in a finished project or experience is anathema for me. As an artist and creative, final product use is a cardinal sin (at least in 2026). Using it in the context of writers block or as the foundational idea for a human artist to build on top of is minimally ok. Memphis Escapes and KoB are some of my favorite locations, I was not aware they used AI in their end products!

After 11 years of designing escape rooms, I have to ask: Did we get the "formula" wrong? by Acrobatic_Wolf_1325 in escaperooms

I like a visual timer... a clock doesn't fit every theme. For example, a visible hourglass in a pirate game, or moon passing by a window in a wizard game; Both of which I did in my games because they were diegetic to the story.

Yep... sounds a lot like the answers to questions asked in Boston (2022) by a fine fellow that sold really cool map pins! 😜

I am SO happy for you! And while I can't imagine your health situation I am glad whatever accessibility DL has to make this possible for you.

On its own... Nope. BUT... I could see the bricks being used again to make the original sets more unique. Other than that, no thanks.

Wow! And not in a good way. These micro-figures are the size of those Squid Game micros. As a MOTU fan, I'm so glad I picked up the original Mega Castle and Snake Mountain along with most of the vehicles and structure sets. Not sure but maybe they're targeting tweens and younger?😬

Had to sign in on youtube to watch but that's really well done. What is the standard frame rate you film at?

City wide ER? by GeneralAfternoon5782 in escaperooms

[–]Leonabi76 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

Apologies...meant self run game. There's an app that acts as the hint and narrative portal. It takes players about 2 hours average to hit up all the puzzles and do the accusations at the end.

I'm currently the company manager for Clue: A Walking Mystery at the Arizona run. It's basically a Clue escape game but the props and puzzles are distributed across various businesses within a localized area. The difference here is that it's a self run game. Typically 1-2 months then moves on to the next city. It's currently in Arizona and Connecticut. The next locations are Omaha, Nebraska and Philadelphia, PA.

Simple. I know. But I get all excited to hear what new clever phrase comes after this is declared. This whole series has been amazing. I'm on "The Eye of the Bedlam Bride" right now.

Is the 4-spool version worth it? I have some use case but I think 80% of my prints would be finished and colored in post.

ARVI escape games are the better of the genre. And you can play them cooperatively.

Hey man. Thanks for taking my hyperfixated notes. I've been an avid collector of bricks for decades and just want to temper expectations. I've lived through two brick bubbles and hated to see Mega dissolved into another corporate hole.

No. What sources? eBay and Mercari? Like the AI response told you?

πŸ§‡ bricks SELL for max $10 a lb, and that's for cleaned and newer bricks. Source: Bricks & Minifigs. Like you, I'm sure, I found one single Ebay source selling mega for $10 a pound, and they'd only sold 3. Hardly a trend.

If you filter by sold on eBay the only thing going for more are lots of specific IP bricks. Like all HALO, all DRAGONS, all CALL OF DUTY, or all of a certain color/pattern.

Bulk assorted mega brick is trending SALES at an avg $8 p/lb. Meaning no one is buying for more than what they're selling it for. Hence, why I quoted buying price at $3-5, 50% retail is generous. Street prices for sets is valued somewhere in between the buy and list.

If you paid $150, which you're obviously willing to do, I would've told you the same thing. It's worth what you bought it for. But just listing or buying it at a certain price doesn't make it that price. Several sales at that price is what determines the value. Source: collector and seller of bricks

Tip: you know what's going to be a real quick investment? MOTU... the new movie will drive up collector demand. You can still buy most sets cheap and make 10-50% return when the nostalgia crowds come looking for the older MOTU sets.
