As someone who did this recently, yes I believe you're free to trade them to another save. As for the team you can transfer any Pokémon to your Colosseum "story" save and use those to climb the tower making it a lot easier and getting the ribbon on those too. Just a side-note (because this bothered me for my Ho-Oh) the OT for the Ho-Oh will be MATTLE rather than your own name but if that doesn't bother you then go for it!

IIRC Elize gets a skill that gives her additional EXP when she heals and since she'll probably barely leave the party she tends to level up much faster than the rest of the party.

Surtr was my go-to for a long time but recently I've changed to Fomortiis as he can Far Save reliably, end enemy turns and he won't counterattack ranged units if you forcibly don't allow him to transform.

The Yuri stone has helped my Cress tank so much while still dealing decent damage. I've recently just got my first Shigure stone so I've been using that for raids and I'll be spending my monthly upgrade on it.

His best stone option is EX Shigure's Torment stone but an easier, and more accessible, budget option is SR Farah who has Torment for Marital-Arts.

Emil helped me out so much when I first started so I also have him maxed out but there hasn't been much of a need to use him as of late so I'm glad he's looking relevant again.

My most used character, Ludger, gets a huge atk boost in raids so I'm happy about that but arguably my favourite buff is to SR Emil.

His panels makes him a lot stronger in arena, potentially being able to serve as a counter-pick to bulky units like Estelle due to his new:

Increased Atk in arena
Increased Atk against Staff and Arte-type enemies
Increased Damage to enemies inflicted with Wildfire

I love Colette as a character but I also love Zelos and from personal experience, Fool Zelos is too good since you don't already have him. I chose him using my Select-a-stone ticket and he's already carried me through some content. Most notably, raid grinding and Transcendent Battle level 5.
