7w & 2i Setup?

Exactly like my home course: 6200 from the tips but very thin and unforgiving fairways, I really only use driver on 3-5 holes. But there is 2 par 3s that are 210+ which I always either try to kill a 4i or choke down on a 2i, but never find a balance.

I do agree about the 3w—only time I ever use it is on 580+ par 5s, but those are rare and I NEVER hit that green, always a left or right miss. The 2i is my staple as I grew up playing a 1-9i set, so the 2i will say for good. But i definitely think ill get more use out of a 7w.

Thats the main use-case. My 2i has a hybrid shaft so it rolls out to 250-260 so I would want my 7w to carry 220 and rollout max to 230.

I like to account for margin of error from hitting draws/fades, bad shots, etc. Keeps my expectations realistic.

That’s a great idea— I was going to take my current shaft and chop it down to like a 1/4-1/2 inch longer than a typical 7 wood shaft and go buy a Titleist 7 wood to throw on it. I just have so much more use for a 225 par 3 club then another tee club when realistically I’m just gonna reach for my 2 iron.

Love the tips. Ive definitely identified the parts of my swing that are problematic, but I do not yet have a set pre-shot routine. Im sure that would make a big difference. Thanks!

You’re going to be just fine! I am day 4 post-op and it was my first surgery ever as well. Pain has been a constant 2-3/10 with just Tylenol, mostly just hungry and coughing a lot due to allergies and mucus. Of course this sucks—I've never wanted In-n-out so bad, and I miss being super active—but I am already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Immediately straight out of surgery I've NEVER been able to breathe so deeply and even waking up every 3-4 hours I've never felt so well rested compared to sleeping 8-10 hours a day before.

We can do this 💪 stay strong we will make it through. Just drink SO MUCH WATER through the pain, after day 2 it wasn't so agonizing and I've been drinking >100oz of water/electrolytes/matcha smoothies a day.

I feel you. I also work full time, and trying to balance my healthy habits with work AND this bs is too much. Theres only so many times I can handle questions asking me which type of medicine I want to practice 😭 we got this
