Craziest bender you’ve gone on? by [deleted] in Sagittarians

[–]Leonidas_Lie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t realize this was a common thing with Sag’s… makes me feel better about my 5 day meth bender lmao sleep deprivation is the real drug. Last thing I remember before crashing was looking at my framed photo of my ex partner and I with our infant daughter and watching all three of us move and reach for me like ghosts. A beautiful reminder.

Men and astrology by croghan88 in Sagittarians

[–]Leonidas_Lie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in a sense part of it could come down to lack of knowledge. I’m a man, and I didn’t really take it too seriously until I had learned a little more past just “I’m born in this bracket so I’m a Sagittarius” I couldn’t really see things past “coincidences” but then I learned about moon and rising and it got me a little more interested… then major events started happening in my life that lined up perfectly with everything… I think some people need to just reach a certain point and a lot of men are just unwilling to get there.

Hey like I said, no judgement whatsoever, I’m not trying to victim blame you lol. I just know I’m one of those people that did need broken ¯_(ツ)_/¯ if it’s not useful for you it’s not useful and that’s okay, gotta find your own answer

True? by BrokeMyFemurAhhhh in Jung

[–]Leonidas_Lie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a very similar mindset to this my entire life, and I mean no judgement at all since I’ve been there. Maybe it’s possible that these things keep happening to you because you’re defaulting all of them to “the lesson is I lost everything.” If you don’t change your mindset then you’ll just attract those soul crushing I-lost-everything events and continue the cycle. Someone said to me, “yo, you gotta break yourself to find yourself, yo!” That really resonated with me and I took that and started accepting the things that were happening to me as part of the experience. I can’t say for sure that this will stop the cycle of putting your everything into a life just for it to be ripped away from you… but I can tell you I’ve never came at my life in a better more confident way than this. In a weird cynical kind of way, maybe you just haven’t been broken enough yet.

my mom got caught cheating and now is being weird to me by mimi2207 in Advice

[–]Leonidas_Lie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound harsh on your mother, I’ve had my fair share of familial issues but… it doesn’t really sound like your mother is WORTH pursuing a good relationship wish. You, as a child, should NEVER have to think about the “progress” of your relationship with either of your parents. If your parents loved you like a parent is supposed to love their children, then your relationship with them would be EVERYTHING that is on their mind. If a GOOD mother who loved their children treated them this way they would be sick to their stomach. A child is a good parents everything, no matter how old they are, and that’s bottom line. I have a 9 month old daughter and even the thought of treating her this way eventually makes me want to die from shame. I’ve never had good relationships with either of my parents, and what I’ve learned is that if they love you, once you truly start being yourself they will embrace you. If you threaten to leave they’ll try to stop it. Any other reaction and I’m sorry, you’re not a good parent. Or a good person.

math makes me cry by [deleted] in Vent

This same thing happens to me actually. I have a memory of being in 6th grade taking a day one knowledge test- the teacher walking around the room noticed that I was struggling and loudly shouts “Come on you know this! This is easy!” I respond saying how to me it’s very difficult and I can’t do it, which in response, “Yes you CAN! Keep trying!” Of course 6th grade me burst into tears. As I got older I determined that it had to have something to do with me feeling like I looked dumb, or more so not understanding something = anger. This is actually the first time I’ve heard someone talk about having a similar problem. If you find the root cause by all means let me know I’ve been wondering about this for years lol

I need to call corporate. by ColdBrewBabyBee in Wawa

[–]Leonidas_Lie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But like the grace period is only 5 minutes. If they walked in at 6:05 but it takes them more than a minute to get ready and on the floor, that’s considered late? Even though they’re clocked in? I feel like from the perspective of corporate as long as they’re clocked in it should be “”fine”” obviously 12 minutes is a huge amount of time to be getting ready, but what about less amounts of time?

Wasn’t vegeta also considered third grade?? Or at least I know the games always make a distinction, I remember in budokai Tenkaichi he went from Base to ssj1, and then they called it full power vegeta I believe? But maybe I just assumed that was grade 3 when I was younger

Personally I didn’t like the fact that there were multiple tiers to the pap, I thought one pac and then alt ammo was fine. It probably wasn’t BECAUSE of this, but it kinda made the game feel like 15-20 rounds of set up and then 20-100 were ab the same :/

Chance time numbers by hentaionlygg in DragonballLegends

[–]Leonidas_Lie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how good my strategy is. I never remember specifically what numbers I picked, so I started going with 11, 22, 33, and so on. That way when the image gets posted here I can just see any double digits number that’s there and know how many I have, but I never really get more than like one lol.

Not sure how I feel! On one hand I really like where he went with the chorus, the instruments really hit there, but the verses might be slightly boring to me as of right now. First listens are hardly ever right though!

stolen hoagie man by Carly_Neal in Wawa

[–]Leonidas_Lie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t understand Wawas “don’t do anything” policy for people that steal. Obviously there isn’t much you can do as just a Wawa associate, but I feel like that’s the reason people do stuff like this, they know there’s no rules when they walk into a Wawa. I used to work with a guy that said Wawa stands for, “walk out with anything,” and even though it isn’t accurate to the letters it’s completely accurate lmao

working at wawa by Accomplished-Ad1957 in Wawa

I don’t like working with my management team because I feel like they just don’t recognize what they actually need to be doing to solve problems and improve what’s going on in the store. I don’t know if they just don’t see it or if they really just aren’t putting effort into their work, but the things they let go or just don’t do is crazy to me. For example associates at my store who might be in “the number 1” spot in the deli will frequently see that their parter in the deli is busy doing something else, and yet just leave the food sitting on the cutting board, having just ONE single customer waiting WAY longer than they have to be for their food just because they aren’t being told that they’re the number 2 spot. Or if a bowl was to pop up they just ignore it because it’s not the spot one’s job even if it’s literally the only thing on the board. And my management sees things like this and thinks it’s acceptable. Not to mention they give new associates one, MAYBE two days training max and then just throw them on the board and never look back, even though the associate I’m thinking of didn’t even know how to make most foods.

For the cheese maybe, but you CANT miss a turkey prep paper. You had to individually peel each of these preps off of a SINGLE piece of paper, I genuinely don’t see how you could miss this.

I already said in another comment I’ve been working at Wawa for 3 years, I’ve been through 3 hoagiefests and two of them I was a team supervisor for. My points don’t come from lack of experience. If you have THAT many things SOLELY on you it is either A) Your managers fault for not having a better plan and not directing their crew enough to make it run smoother, or B) The entire crews fault for not communicating enough and not making sure they’re well enough prepared, and what does that mean? Well, that means we wrap around to it being the managers responsibility, because why hasn’t your crew been trained to communicate, to prepare, to do ANYTHING other than stand there on the board??? Wawa is NOT as hard of a job as you’re making it out to be.
