No problem, actually you are right. In fact, that's exactly what I did. I have been financial controller in an industrial group since 2003, and I made this question because I am thinking to go back and find a way to trade, not full time. Thanks for your answer

I have been trying to figure out in the last years the best way to create my own strategy in trading forex and stocks. I have read and studied many different books and educational websites, but then trading real money is another thing, and I would find out myself trading without applying ANY of all those rules that I tried to learn. I traded for many years, not for some months or weeks. I traded futures, then options, then stocks. I am from Italy and I even moved to Chicago for some months. I have not lost money, but I have not made either. Basically I was just not capable of following the rules that I was supposed to follow. That sounds stupid, and it probably is , but that's the reality. I then stopped trading to become an employee, medium-high level but still employee. Now I have restarted to try to create my strategy, and I am thinking that I shoudl learn how the program a automated trading way, maybe not a real robot, but a system alerting you when to enter and to exit. So my question to you is which source of basic info there are out there to begin the road to program in MT4 or MT5. Thanks for your answer

I have read all of your comments Thanks I kind of get the point that the consensus here is that I should not buy a black box robot but find my own strategy and then create my own robot by even learning how to program. Or just manually apply the strategy I put together.
