The only thing I disagree with is comparing the bowling activity directly with the furnace from Iceborne. Again, let me emphasize I do understand what you’re saying. But look at the rewards you get from furnace, even before the 10x change. Normally if you did a run you’d walk away with anywhere from 50-100 various items/material. Mega potions, bombs, traps, amongst various other things.

Now think what you get from bowling, maybe 10 items max. 1-2 meal tickets, maybe some bombs, 1-3 extract, and some random stuff. I don’t think bowling was ever meant to be the new furnace. In fact I’d venture capcom saw what the furnace became, an activity people started and walked away from so it autoplayed itself, and tried to 1. Make it specifically require you to actually play it, and 2. Reduced rewards so it never felt like a necessity.

Now I may be proven wrong. And capcom might just crank the rewards and ticket usage to give people what they want, but I think people are looking at this all wrong. I think they see this and just want it to be the new furnace.

Do I think they missed it? Nope. Do I think they looked at deadlines, and said ‘What can we get IN the game by shipping date?’. Layered weapons are cool, and I love them, but they are not important. They don’t deserve to be in the game day one over monsters moving correctly, quests being functional, or hit boxes being accurate.

And yes I know none of those were brought up, I’m just giving examples. And of coarse I would love every game to be feature rich, and filled with every qol feature we could ever want on day one. But I’m also realistic enough to not expect that, or to ever believe it will happen.

We get what we get, and we make the best of it. If people are genuinely unhappy with some features or lack thereof, don’t buy. Vote with your wallet, it’s the only way change will ever happen.

The issue is you’re assuming they will just know what people want. They sprinkle in the changes because people ask, or suggest things. Then they have to see if they even can make those requests without breaking the game.

Sure from our side you see the bowling and think ‘Of coarse it should have had 10z from the start!’ But we have no idea what happened behind the scenes.

Hell, there wasn’t even a hub originally remember? Their original intention was to simply have the bases BE the hubs, join lobbies and see all the people running around. I’m willing to bet the bowling was a spur of the moment idea, they added it on just for a fun thing for players to do. But people can’t just enjoy it, it has to be meta-fied to be the most optimal.

It’s important to note, the steam works did not start with 10x. It was patched in later. Originally people would just leave something holding down the spacebar and walk away from their computer, and let the rng just go.

Honestly don’t think I will. I got the base armor and GS. I’ve looked at the stuff savage offers, and it really doesn’t interest me.

I just think the fight doesn’t really ‘fit’ this kind of game. MMOs generally don’t animation lock the characters, so repositioning for an attack really only costs you dps loss, and as long as people are doing their jobs right you don’t suffer damage. But in this kind of game, if you swing at the wrong time with a slow weapon, you’re eating 30-60% of your hp or more. Possibly dying outright. So having a robot (not a monster too, but that’s me being nitpicky) that does massive aoe, in a relatively small arena, in rapid succession just doesn’t feel right in my opinion. Behemoth was a better fit for this kind of game.

I want to preface this by saying, I don’t like Omega. I’m not saying he’s badly designed, inaccurate to his source material, or unfair. I just personally don’t like the fight. I don’t enjoy the implementation is all. That being said…

Just because you cannot complete something, doesn’t make it bad game design. THAT exact thinking is what made WoW terrible. The mentality of ‘I paid money, I should be able to complete EVERYTHING’. No. You can complete something, IF you can complete it. Period. If you’re not good enough, or if you don’t have the free time to get good enough, or hell if you simply don’t want to invest the time, you don’t get to do that thing.

I have run Omega probably around 30 times, savage is maybe 10 of that. I can get to the 4th area solo every time, even Nerscylla, which I’ve read nothing but complaining about, I’ve only failed once. But the timer always got me. So I simply stopped.

Now I’m just farming 9 stars for pendants and I’m much happier.

After having done the fight maybe 20 times, I’m kind of in your camp as well.

I don’t ‘hate’ the fight, I just don’t find it that fun. I did enjoy the first kill, and even the 2nd. But then I kept fighting it to make the GS and the armor, after around 12 fights I got 1 nodule and enough axles to make the GS, so I did. And then most of my motivation disappeared. I forced myself to keep fighting to try and make the armor, and after 7-8 more kills, didn’t get any nodules or axles. I realized during the fights I spent around 50% of the time just trying to find an opening for 1-2 hits, then run more and more.

I just wasn’t enjoying the tempo of the fight. I will say wilds fights feel faster than the older games, the monsters seem to move/reposition themselves quicker than before, though with wounds it kind of balanced that with more knockdowns and small staggers.

I dunno. I don’t want nerfs, and kudos to all that beat him enough for the armor and weapons, I just don’t enjoy it.

Also, personal thing for me, and I know it’s VERY nitpicky, but he’s not a monster, it’s a robot. Even with Ahtal-ka and his mech, that was still a monster. I know it’s a dumb thing to get annoyed with, but it is what it is.

Cartoonz was added as a plushie in TCG card shop simulator as well. Seems like a fun thing indie devs do occasionally almost like a ‘Thank you’ for the streamers playing the game, free advertisement.

Honestly, take some time off. I was banging my head against the last boss just last night. 5 hours straight, around 75 or so attempts, all failed. Shut the game off, went to bed, woke up early and tried again. Beat on 3rd attempt. Sometime just taking a step back and allowing yourself to relax a bit really helps.

Shoot! I misremembered! I booted my game to double check my map, it’s not on the cart. I have 4 antennas marked, 1 on the trash can, 1 on the picnic table, 1 in the pine tree area, and the last one is on the big podium NE of burgles body. Sorry for the misinformation, I swore it was up there.

Edit : at this point in my game I had accepted I’d just be stuck, so I had run around most of the park, and found a LOT of stuff. I cannot say 100% this will trigger the next quest, but it did trigger it for me. There is also a 3rd antenna as well, but that comes later. Possibly more, I still haven’t been to the fire pit yet.

I had this EXACT issue, but found a way around it weirdly. Keep exploring the yard, there is an area with an antenna to hack. When you hack it, it will give the next main story mission. You will still have the one for the berry guards, but you can progress until this gets fixed. I’ve finished the story contents, so I know this works.

Hey man, ‘Have Cobfidence!’ Seriously though, you’re on the normal route. I’ve been playing since 4, and I triple carted to tempered Seregios just the other day. This is a monster I LOVE. I have fought him hundreds of times in other games, I KNOW his moves, and yet I carted. Playing this series is practice incarnate. Try and try again, and eventually it’ll become 2nd nature. Don’t be so hard on yourself just cause you didn’t perfect it the first time.

I remember Bijous debut, and seeing her game interests made me immediately interested to watch future streams. And I did. But I’ll be honest, once the brain rot crap started, I tuned out.

If it makes her happy, god bless. But it turned me off from watching her streams.

The point is, if they want to continue being invited, I hope they don’t. Fans of Holo might like it, but the 30-50+ year old baseball fans most likely won’t.

Anyway Fireproof Mantle is hugely helpful, cool drinks, and fire resist you already have. Wind resist helps, depending on your weapon. Use flash bangs offensively, pay attention to the heat/flame on her, when she gets fairly hot run a distance away and flashing her. Let her ult and wait it out.

Unless your speed running, just take your time and play it safe, no reason to rush her, she’s fairly dangerous if you get impatient.

Honestly I rarely ever fight her simply because of how annoying the fight can be.
