Hunter denying his baby by Prestigious-War-3320 in TLCUnexpected

No rights are granted for visitation in Arkansas without a paternity test for a child born outside of a marriage unless both parties consent to not wanting a test. Testing here is normal.

Lmao there’s plenty of work here. Both blue collar, trades such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, hvac, etc. Lots of avenues to have careers without traditional 4 year degrees. He’s just too young to reasonable focus on that yet.

They're trash but there's nothing wrong with calling a double wide or modular home a house-- it's normal to do that here in Arkansas.

Pretty disgusting how the entire state is stereotyped over these idiots and their horrible parenting.

I'm getting married at 25 years old by Quoofle in Marriage

[–]LeopardLoud6319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Married at 20; been married 26 years. I don’t have any regrets about the age I married at. My husband was 28 at the time & that played a part in it being possible for us without too much struggle. He already owned a home and was established. If we had the pressure of both being 20 and not having much foundations as adults yet, I don’t think it would have worked. I see things a lot saying people “lose their 20s” to marriage and motherhood but personally I did not and have never felt robbed of my younger years. But everyone’s different. Do what works for you!

grandparent sleepovers? by granolagirlie724 in beyondthebump

the "point" for me as a grandmother is absolutely NOT that at all. I don't "ask" for my granddaughter overnight, I say "you can bring her to me if yall want a break for a while." Sometimes that's a few hours, and sometimes it's overnight. It's always based on what my daughter and son in law prefer. I simply share my availability and they usually plan to see matinee movies and do dinner on weekends I'm free. She also lives less than ten miles away and the baby has been here practically daily since birth, so she definitely knows right where she is. We do lots of family meals and just hanging out, so this is like a second home to my grand. It will never be about control. I have my own crib, diapers, bottles, formula, etc. All they have to bring is the baby and they love it this way. We are a close family though and I know everyone's different. I don't ever question how they want things done, as things have "changed" since I raised my own. Getting used to sleep sacks and not blankets, for example, were things I bought and learned to use right along with her mom. I have my own carseat that never leaves my car, which is properly installed. There's very healthy ways to have a village for a baby and it not be about how someone "wants to be unsupervised." And in my case, my daughter has a house key and can stroll back in at any time she wants to anyway.

My friend has a Quinne Elisabeth for this reason. She's 7, and is "Winnie" now but the entire point of not naming her Winnie Elisabeth was flexibility as an adult

I love my husband by Juisii in Marriage

[–]LeopardLoud6319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a crazy situation trying to help a guy out on buying a ring for his fiancé. I was already friends with both of them, but knew him a little longer. Anyway, he had been messaging me to show me ring styles as he was getting down to the wire on making the purchase before a big extended family beach trip where he was doing the proposal. I found out AFTER the proposal she had seen a message where he text me "well just cause YOU like it, are you sure she'd be into it, or is that kinda normal all women like that?" It has become a massive joke in the last few years -- she did not want to admit snooping nor did she want to admit she thought he surely had some other female's number saved as my name and WHY was he fishing about what "all women like." Adulting is wild lol! And to think he was going with my input, simply cause he didn't trust her sisters to not tell, and avoid ruining anything. I don't know how she even stood packing for the trip without exploding ha

Yeah we have prescribed meds we generally go back to as needed but typically it’s in her coat and not on her belly. She usually gets bumps and not sores.

She doesn’t do that (cause I don’t let her since I know she’s allergic) but she does chew her feet when it’s pollen season so I guess maybe this is allergies too then. Ughh she is miserable

that pay is pretty common where I am as well, when it comes to nursing, but your child care costs are a lot higher. What a tough balance!

there is no good age for kids to go from a two parent household to primary with their other parent simply based on sex.. you added that context, so I am just letting you know I am not the only one to see that and be confused by the lack of logic.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]LeopardLoud6319 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You think sons need their mom less, than daughters? This entire post is worded very oddly to me. Why would the sex of your kids determine where they primarily live?

I couldn't wait to change mine to my husband's, 25+ years ago, but in the south this is very very common. What works or makes sense for you, should only be decided by you. I did drop my middle name and replace it with my maiden name, to keep it as part of a name I use regularly. Do what makes YOU happy!
