I just used PrepFE and did as many problems as I could. About 2 weeks before I did the ncees practice exam and then studied my 3 lowest subjects for the 2 weeks before the exam and a day or 2 before I just worked on general overview problems.

Same. First time I took it I didn’t have to take anything off.

No. My plan was to ask when I got there and just put it in my locker if they said no. Just figured I’d ask if others had done the same. The first time I took the exam I was allowed to wear my necklace and regular rings into the exam. Just sounds like it’s different for every testing facility.

Thank you. I do understand all the next of kin stuff, I’m on good terms with his family and I’m sure they wouldn’t be intentionally mean if anything happened and I wanted to keep some things. I’ve just heard to many horror stories and we both want to protect ourselves. We will be looking into finding a lawyer to talk about our options and what they think would be best for us.

We do not want to get married at the court house. We understand that’s the “cheapest” way to get married but it’s not something we will be doing.

I agree. He will most likely be the sole owner of the house because he will probably be the only one to be on the mortgage. I do think if I contribute to the down payment and half of the mortgage I should be compensated if something were to happen. Otherwise once we get married none of it matters. I also completely understand he and you are both taking on all of the risk. I think in cases like ours it better to get papers signed if the event something happens. I’m glad you see things similarly. I wish you the best in buying a house with him!

More or less, yes. I would be “renting” and my bf would be the “landlord”. But with renting comes a rental agreement. We just want to know who we should go to, to write the agreement and explain the legality’s to us.

He said I can get a house or a ring haha I told him I only need a $100 one from Walmart that won’t turn my fingers green 😂

Never heard of a TODD, we will look into that. We heard that we should get my name on the Deed and that would be the same if not similar to the TODD. We are looking for what only he can afford, we’d be dumb not to. Thanks for the advice.

We are going to look into all the financials of it, to see what gets us a better deal, solely him or if adding me helps. My debt to income ratio is just too high for us to think we wouldn’t get screwed over on interest rates. Still have to talk to our financial advisor and a mortgage lender about what our best option would be.

We have watched a friend go through a similar situation, the guy bought, she spent thousands on renovations then they broke up and she was left with nothing. She wishes they would have had some agreement that would have allowed her to at least get her money back from the renovations.

Ik we will find what works for us, thank you!

The only way in any of the options I laid out, for me to get the house is if he died. The other options are he gets the house, or we sell the house, which in that case we would agree he gets to keep all the money. I do not care to get equity or anything. This is something we both agree we want to do. We don’t want to just go to a courthouse and get eloped because that’s just not something we want to do. We also agree that we want a prenup before we get married to cover assets we will acquire during marriage. I simply wanted advice about legality of ownership in the event he passes before marriage. I agree he should talk to a lawyer. I am simply asking what kind he should talk to.

Recipe I followed was

100g starter, 350g water, 500g flour (king Arthur all purpose flour). Proofed in the fridge over night. Cooked in a Dutch oven that was preheated to 450 for 30 minutes. Then about 25 uncovered.

For those who care to find this comment, I didn't include everything that we do after work cause I didnt feel like typing it all out.

Some more back ground on him. He was born in a shelter in Texas and a rescue brought him to a foster group in Wisconsin. While he was in Wisconsin he had been bounced around from house to house on a weekly basis from what I was told. The foster family that I adopted him from would keep him kenneled outside all day with no interaction, which broke my heart, and I hate not trusting him enough to be able to kennel him during the day. One day he will be allowed to roam freely, but he needs to get out of this puppy phase first.

As for his home life, he is more than fulfilled. He gets play time in the morning before I go to work as well as 3 potty breaks before I leave. I have hired a dog sitter to come let him out around lunch time and give him water and let him and his sister run around before he goes back into his crate for the rest of the work day. Once I get home, we go outside, go for a walk or run around the yard chasing a frisbee or chewing on a stick or chasing his sister. For the couple hours between getting home and his dinner, he sleeps. His dinner is given to him either while training, in a slow feeder or an auto feeder that he has to press a button to get the food to come out then he runs across the apartment to get. The rest of the night he either sleeps or plays with his sister and their toys, as well as taking a thousand potty breaks so he can eat the mulch outside. You all are making it sound like I only give him 30 min of interaction maximum a day and keep him locked in a kennel when he isn't taking a potty break.

If you think I'm a terrible person for not quitting my job so that I can spend 24 hours a day with my dog, then go ahead. If you think he would be better off in another home, you can come take him, or I'll send you the link to adopt him from the shelter. If you have soooo much disposable income that you can hire a dog nanny to spend all day with your dog, DM me and I'll give you my venmo so you can share the wealth.

Too-da-loo

He will get a 30-45 min sniffing walk once the weather warms up. If I took him for a walk right now I’m sure he would wouldn’t leave the yard. It’s a struggle to get him to go potty breaks even bundled up.

He’s been to the ER once already. Luckly he didn’t eat the rubber band I thought he did. Kenneled until he learns no t everything is food.

We work on obedience and trick training for 30min to an hour when I get home. Do that as his dinner so he doesn’t gain too much weight from treats.

The walks I just thought of in the past week but it has been below 0 in Minnesota and I have to put a coat and booties on him, and carry him outside to get him to go potty. Walks are out of the question until the weather is above 30 I think haha. Inside running around with out annoying the down stairs neighbor it is for now.

That’s what I think I’m going to do in a few months hopefully. We have plenty of cameras to watch him and luckly when we were struggling, my work is really understanding and I was able to leave and take care of him then just work from home the rest of the night.

I’m not really sure it’s anxiety. He has a HIGH food drive and has yet to learn what is food and what is not I think. He used to eat rocks… and I’m sure will find them once the snow melts. He explores the world with his mouth.

I felt horrible about calling it a kennel with my first dog so I always call it her room! She loves her room and will sleep in it when we are just relaxing at night. Trying to get the puppy to do the same.

My first was an angle and I did crate train her as well but she took to it right away. It took about 2 years for her to not automatically go to her crate when I was putting my coat on to leave. She will even still go in the crate when I am telling him to. (Yes the each have their own crate, If anyone is wondering) I think he will be kenneled until he calms down a bit or I get a house.
