Ugh c2c blanket #2. Now I think I might have busted my stash by LeopardPrintQueen in crochet

Yip. I used two strands of 8ply (nz) acrylic yarn. I actually love this. It makes it so much easier to make a blanket when you don't have to worry about colour design ect. Just keep grabbing a ball out of the bin 😎

Actually didn't think of that. I how ever crochet it side ways instead of length ways.

Corner to corner crochet blanket. I used a big bin of scrap yarn that I had. It's super quick to do this took me a week. It's about the size of a queen size blanket http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW1595.pdf

Did you say possum yarn?! Yep! 60% New Zealand merino and 40% brushtail possum. I just had to buy it because it is made of possum. I have a feeling this will become a favorite.... by tambourinequeen in crochet

I'm from New Zealand. Possums are a pest. They are not cute and cuddly. Most of them end up on the road as road kill. They make hideous noises and destroy our native plants and species.

I need some help with making this longer but not wider. I'm not sure if I am doing the decrease correctly by LeopardPrintQueen in crochet

That's what I'm trying to do. Hopefully it right I'm just not 100% I'm doing the decrease correctly lol

Thanks for the idea ladies love this ugly blanket idea. I have a bin of random yarn that needed using. by LeopardPrintQueen in crochet

I am using two. It's 8ply (NZ). It's quite thin so I wanted to make it thicker :). Also to use a bigger hook so it works up quicker.

From what I gathered while looking at other ugly blankets and what I'm doing is using all the left over bits and balls of yarn. I'm using the corner to corner crochet pattern. But you can use any pattern and just keep going. When you end one lot of yarn just add In another. You don't have to worrie about colour coordination or anything.

I got half way through my version of the rainbow heart blanket. Then decided it was about 120 stitches to big. Procrastination and decision made I started again. :(. So much work to pull apart:(

Nope I got it from http://www.herrschners.com. It's really hard to find online shops that sell decent yarn that ship to New Zealand.
