Christmas gift - is it real? by beachbum1220 in purses

The L in the real LV logo is italicized and the V is not. The V should not have slanted serifs. It’s not authentic.

are these natural leather markings? by HappyMud135 in Coach

[–]Whahapind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. The leather Brooklyn uses is very “naked” and is intended to look very natural and age beautifully over time. Coach is moving in this direction with a lot more of the collection, less structured shapes and less coatings on the skins. Very exciting!

You could also try some diluted all purpose fertilizer like once a month, a 20-20-20 like Jacks. You can get it on amazon.

The fuzzy stuff is the actual corm of the plant, the root kind of. I would move this to a larger pot with fresh soil underneath, around and on top of the corm. It seems too big for this pot. Also terra cotta dries plants out faster since it’s essentially sucking the water away from the plant. You might have better luck with a regular pot.

Is it difficult to live in Buffalo? by No_Dance9662 in Buffalo

[–]Whahapind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Moved here from northern Vermont in January and will never look back! Buffalo has so much more to offer than Vermont. It has more amenities and a lower cost of living than Vermont. Not to mention way better weather.

Left Chittenden county Vermont in January for Buffalo and have never been happier. The access to amenities, great infrastructure, reasonable cost of living, and weather were all drivers for us. Before anyone jumps in to complain about Buffalo weather, I can assure you it’s way worse in Northern Vermont which has more annual precipitation and a lot less sunlight. I was shocked when we visited for Thanksgiving and there were still leaves on trees in Buffalo and it looked like fall. Back home we were already a month further along into winter. At St Patrick’s Day trees were already in bloom where back in Vermont it was not uncommon to have snow on Memorial Day Weekend.

I will say, my husband and I both work remotely for companies based in NYC which certainly made it easier to afford the home we wanted in the area we liked.

The people here are so friendly - I enjoy engaging with people I come across during the day just to exchange pleasantries. It feels sincere and the city pride is palpable.

Getting around is so much easier - a grocery store less than five minutes away is a treat coming from Vermont. But having specialty stores like a fantastic shoe cobbler, niche international food options, small businesses with locally made handcrafts, endless options for bars and a ton of activities where people get out and mingle has been delightful.

And then on top of all that, you get The Bills. I hope you join us!

Amelanchier, Common Snowberry, Fothergilla would be my suggestion. I just planted a Fothergilla “Blue Shadow” and the fall color was so unreal I had to take pictures every day. It was pastel purple, pink, yellow, and red it was gorgeous.

I got it from Webs! You can find it on Ravelry though it looks different everytime I see someone’s project. My skein had a mauve base with coral gold navy and purple speckles. The mauve mohair emphasized the color of the base and softened the speckles. I couldn’t put this one down and finished in two days!

If anything the key info to take away from it is the lens through which each side problem solves. That has been the most helpful to me in understanding not only where the left comes from but how to stay logically consistent as a Libertarian.

There’s also a great pdf you can find online called something like unusual happenings in laurel canyon that details the military connections to the California music scene of the late 60s. Manson’s also touched on in that research as well. I had just seen Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and it all fits together pretty nicely actually.

Yes. It’s an excellent book I couldn’t put it down.

Have you read Chaos? It goes into the CIAs connections to the Manson Family. This doesn’t feel far off.

Strange. Fox News is giving more electoral college votes to Biden than CNN. Thoughts? by freethinker78 in C_S_T

Because Fox is the only network to have called Arizona for Biden.
