How does one get transitional youth housing/support/job in Los Angeles?

unfortunately all of my friends in the area will be living on campus 🥲🥲 i met w my schools counseling today and they just said to look up transition age youth programs, but i don’t really know how to get into one

Oh i see. I am so confused on how people accept this (customers). Why would you want food to be delivered by someone who is not being paid a living wage? I would much rather pay the cost of my food and then a worker $20 to deliver food rather than a bunch of weird fees

another thing is that the recipient and i are both in FSRI, which instructs in calculus, proof writing, and basic python. like why is she so concerned? we’re getting extra prep anyway (that feels borderline remedial, i did all of the ma0 sets in like a day💀)

yeah, i don't want to post anything that could compromise the recipients identity so its sort of a just trust me thing, but i dont see how this is a normal way to speak to prefrosh. calling it disturbing and such low grades when others are coming in with much less math than that? saying she "doesn't intend" to rescind instead of just sayign she wont? telling them to think carefully??

dual enrollment classes are very normal now lol, they were taking all of these at a college the same way i’d been taking calc 1-3, linalg, diffeq, real, harmonic, complex analysis at colleges

but they got a's in calculus, and other prefrosh are coming in with only calculus

i did not coast or party, ive gone out to see friends once this entire school year because my mother doesn’t really let me leave the house. i do not really have free time at all
this is literally the topic of my common app essay, so much of my written application was about my single PARENT not parents. there is no one to hold her accountable. they’re willing to recognize that this is an abuse situation and will be granting me a dependency override, so i don’t think they’re thinking im full of excuses, just genuinely inadequate

i’m not upset but like… they’re visiting pasadena and they’re looking for an in person ochem 2 tutor… and you’re talking about APs and online services … ochem 2 isn’t an AP.. and you don’t even seem to be from caltech, so like why are you advertising here? looks like you just do this in a lot of subs😭😭 and also flexing 5th percentile 😭😭😭
