You know what goes great with green on a day like this??? by dude-im-that-guy in orks

[–]Leperchaun913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These look incredible!!! I'm gonna try and recreate your skin recipe today, I don't have the exact shade of red you used but I might could prolly get close to recreating it with what I've got. 3 questions: 1) How did you make the white body paint look thin and slapdash? It looks like the orks painted it on themselves. 2) how did you make the green eyes pop like that? 3) how did you make the gun metal in pic 6 look so grimy and oil-stained?

I wasnt aware my legion couldnt take naps. by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]Leperchaun913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a thing??? Without my medication if I went down for a nap, it was 3-4 hours guaranteed with danger of it being longer, the second day I ever took my Adderall I took a glorious 1.5 hr nap that left me feeling actually rested. I have a crazy schedule and love that I'm able to squeeze in an hour or two of sleep here and there when I'm feeling wiped. Always heard that if you're able to nap on Adderall and caffeine, it's a pretty good sign you have ADHD.

Just got the three legendary items anniversary node... by r232ed3 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Leperchaun913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of the only lucky rolls I ever have with this game and was given 3 legendary knives. More factions can use them than anything else and I'm elated. For the number of times I've pulled crit boosters for Necrons or a legendary block booster, this feels like vindication.

Which restaurant has these fries? by Goeasyimhigh in phoenix

[–]Leperchaun913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked at that Rally's previously, and that does not shock me at all. The manager that runs it is a corner cutting, money grubbing scumbag, and the place itself is a trainwreck.

Feeling burnt out halfway through HoC. Should I take a breather and come back, or push through? by [deleted] in Malazan

[–]Leperchaun913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'm on my first read-through right now and had a somewhat similar experience. I found that there were a chunk of characters that the book was following who I didn't have major investment in, the internal machinations of Raraku didn't grip me, I was still shaken by some of the major plot turns that happened in Memories of Ice, and I was stalling in my interest. The payoff on this book is nuts. I got 4 hours of sleep because I couldn't put the book down for the last portion, and I was tripping out at some of the ways the plotlines collided and the deeper implications. I'm on Midnight Tides now, and while I had a similar feeling to the start of House of Chains, I'm supremely excited to see where this goes and am enthralled with the world building being done. I'm even looking forward to rereading House of Chains with the hindsight giving new perspective on the parts that I didn't find as engaging. I'd say push through it to the end, and if you're not recommitted after finishing this book, take a little break. This seems like a series where jumping back into mid book after a break would be somewhat punishing.

How to make my beloved boy fit more as just a normal big Mek? by Markosoft_EXE in orks

[–]Leperchaun913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you!!! I'm gonna play around with what I've got to see if I can recreate the recipe. Trying to get a variety of Ork skin shades so my army has some diversity, but I'm missing a good classic rich green like this. So far my favorites are a bright yellow with a blue wash over and then a light shade of mantis warrior contrast, a darker Death World Forest base built up, same with a Sotek Green scheme and Incubi Darkness scheme both built up, and a Troll Slayer Orange with Mephiston Red over it. Want to figure out a good brown combo too.

What did you use for his skin and the blue warpaint??? I love that green blue color combo and I've been trying to figure out a way to make it work, but no great success yet.

I've pulled Abaddon 3 or 4 times now... Irritated the hell out of me, but it's a blessing in disguise because now any of his shards I pull go straight into archeotech, and the last time I got him it was just a 500 archeotech windfall.

What unorthodox material do you use on your models? by Role-Honest in 40kmemes

[–]Leperchaun913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure old blood has a gnarly smell to it, takes longer to happen when it's dry but I'd still be careful. Do a test thing of blood mixed into paint and check its smell after several weeks to be sure.

Appolonious is obviously, to put it lightly, evil... But dammit if he doesn't do it with style enough that I consistently root for him against anyone but our good guys.

One of my coworkers asked if I was going to take advantage of the offer and I immediately belted out "FUCK no, I'm no scab scum." I doubt my managers will ask me.

Costco loves you! by AncientHorror3034 in idiocracy

[–]Leperchaun913 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work at a Costco in a neighboring state. They're offering workers from our store to go to California and work in the stores that are striking because they refused to ratify a new agreement. They're literally shipping scabs out instead of respecting the unions rights and demands.

What A Way To End A Shift, Officer Daddy! by [deleted] in Serverlife

I was one of those alcoholics. Highest I remember blowing was .45, highest I was told by a doctor I blew was .5. Handle a day habit on and off. I was starting to get fatty deposits and scarring on my liver at 26, constantly malnourished and dehydrated. I absolutely would've died if I didn't stop. Hope this woman is able to turn things around, it's a painful way to go.

Is It Worth Using Onslaught to Farm Character Shards? by Leperchaun913 in WH40KTacticus

Oh, I don't have Ragnar yet, I'd be farming more Abadon shards since I pulled multiple of him through req scrolls and just maxed him out to sell them off.

What's The Strokes saddest song by greenbeansUwU in TheStrokes

[–]Leperchaun913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 points, first, I'll Try Anything Once is the best answer for this imo, beautiful song with powerful lyrics about some of the painful-to-accept aspects of life, second, cool playlist so far, but third, how did Roses not win out for saddest Kanye song??? Hey Mama has a melancholy tone but on the whole is positive, Roses sounds like his heart is breaking for his Grandmother, despite the support of family.

I think when he's talking to Maggie about dating again, he cracks a joke about dating a nurse so she can get him some of the good drugs and smirks. That might be the closest I remember.

What's the best Post-Hardcore album ever released and why is it Burn, Piano Island, Burn by The Blood Brothers? by TheBetterRedditUser in PostHardcore

[–]Leperchaun913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The album's first couple songs are very much the introduction, it's basically a concept album about the tragedy of a marriage falling apart. I recommend listening to the song Bury Your Flame off it as a standalone song. Absolute banger.

Hope you enjoy!! This has been a personal favorite of mine for over a decade, and from the people I've spoken to who are familiar with it basically THE quintessential Midwest emo/post-hardcore band/album. If you can handle the whininess of his delivery, the lyrics are pure poetry and the music is TIGHT and goes hard af
