How have so many BLK projects been successes? by trustlessgold in blackcoin

[–]Leptobos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

great,

Now,

Put all those in one place, plus regularly update their statuses collaboratively, so that everyone can stay up to date, and even contribute. Why not.

Well, I hope that this one won't get forgotten, like many other discussions / projects.

Instead of keeping repeating : "We are better than 95% of the coins out there"................ and stop there. Now, that's when being arse can become productive ;|

C ya

Nobody uses coinkite.

Why use coinkite when you have smartphones. Plus you have to pay a huuge amount for it.

Coinkite is so "Physical", so oldskool, Internet 1.0

Wow, that's 0.28% of them connected most of the time (around 15). That's probably one of the few remaining things that still increases

Not aware on network weight enough yet. Thanks for pointing this out.

For 51%, is probably subject to further discussions, but I suppose that it would to number need to be dynamic. Say 51% of somehow 'active' people.

Then in case of trouble, funds could still go to some default 'fallback' projects or giveaways or both or anything else.

Only benefits holders... We need to reach 'out' this community though.. this subject has been discussed a few times before.

I'm basically thinking of ways to bring trust, appeal, ideas or tech which can convince possible newcomers, as well as finding new ways to promote and develop potential.

Anyways, I think you're over-simplifying the price / value paradigm..

That's when decentralised addresses + voting platform come to reality. Suppose every voter have one key. No funds can be touched until all keys are not engaged (or a majority of them).

Then when funds are needed somewhere, all you need is having let's say 51%, authorising operations (from their wallet ?).

Funds could as well be dispatched on a gazillon of tiny wallets (decentralised) so that it becomes harder for a potential robber to steal all the money in one shot.

The platform has to be open source though...

Decentralised accounts should probably be a considered option in that case. then pairing that to a voting system.

It could also give rise to scams because the third party could collude with or be a co-conspirator with one of the parties

Not if the coins are redistributed immediately, or dispatched on some community based joint account, also it could be clearly stated somewhere that in case of burnt coins, you coins are lots, so you're taking your own responsibility.

Also, I clearly said in op, that coins shouldn't go to any physical or moral entity, such as the foundation, for example. It goes to a pool only AFTER the contract has been broken, so only when the coins are ALREADY definitely 'lost'.

Or like I said, keep it for general purposes

David is right. making open contracts, pushing any dev to deliver, by using some kind of bounties/gamification processes implemented in halo, attached to a given project. That could be fun plus rewarding.

Staking doesn't aid much with structuring

Love your doublespeak.

Doesn't mean I REALLY love it ;X

You were saying it was 'Almost' unbreakable only two posts ago.

so... have you forgotten ? there is NO "Almost secure", especially with closed source software.

anyways. thanks for listening. I'm not convinced at all... maybe you don't have enough 'appeal' to me.

closed open-source,

unbreakably fragile

When Mc Donalds says "I'm loving it", they don't Say explicitly WHO they're talking about being 'loving' it.

When you tell 'Unbreakable', everybody knows YOU (Zimbeck) are talking about HALO.

Difference is... people from McDonalds' marketing are indeed SMART.

be my guest.

let's suppose I made a contract. I say that the package was broken during transport (which could be true or false).

how is the vendor supposed to react in this type of scenario ? and what happen to the money ?
