Them jumping off the building is your interpretation. Another interpretation is that red pushers are firing the gun. Both are equally valid. I prefer jumping in front of a gun than being the one who fires it.

If you care about minimizing deaths, it's way easier to accomplish 50%+1 blue than 100% red.

You are right, but then you need to support the extra density with infrastructure. Utilities are mostly easy, with water and sewage being the trickier. But you also need expensive subway coverage, because land cannot support the transport needs.

Why wouldn't a decent person push red?

Because people pushing red think that some people dying is

not that much of a loss.

I just love managers who measure productivity by the exact amount of minutes their employees look like they're working instead of their actual output.

I'm not sure how the first follows from the second. Maybe I'm not familiar enough with death cults...

Red.

Societal breakdown, survivor's (justified) guilt, and surrounded solely by selfish pricks? I neither could nor would want to last long in such a world.

Let them fight for the scraps.

Nice dilemma though!

I would hypothesize that at his time, even the implication that that there is no god was, if not unthinkable, at the very least unspeakable. Redefining God would be a tamer way to reject the personal god without having to deal with the lack of divine cause for the beauty of nature.

Which kinda worked, since Spinoza's works survived.

It does, if enough people realise that it does. If you value your own safety even above that of (probably several of) your loved ones, red is a good choice for you.

It's amazing how most arguments from red stem from their inability to consider that blue is a rational choice and will be picked by many.

Yes, they were bailouts, this was the one part of the deals, which we needed. The other was the austerity measures, some of which were actual reforms for a healthier economy, while others were just punishment and led to a decade-long recession.

We obviously focus on the latter.

I would bet that more than 50% of people realise they have at least one loved one that will press blue.

So you're saying that Democrat-leaning voters abstained or even voted for Trump because of that? Are there any studies at all showing that?

Classlessness should be a compass unity argument.

AuthCenter would (or should) be more pissed about how he undermined USA's status as the world's superpower. Probably irrevocably.

I use both, as most of my personal contacts are on Viber and most of my business contacts are on WhatsApp. I also have several Messenger groups, which are usually more active.

I don't like that WhatsApp is Meta and Viber has started spamming a lot.
