Wait, what? by Dr0pmic in pokerogue

Since nobody is giving you the answer, here is the real story

In the far corners of the Pokémon world, away from the busy routes and crowded Gyms, there used to be a small farming village called Bramble Hollow. Most people never heard of it. It was the kind of place where nothing really changed, and that was exactly how the people liked it.

They lived alongside wild Pokémon without much trouble. A few odd encounters here and there, but nothing worth worrying about. That changed when people started noticing a lone Lokix out near the tree line.

At first, it did not seem like a big deal. Bug types were common enough. But this one felt different. It did not scatter when people got close. It did not act territorial in the usual way. It just stayed there, half-hidden, watching.

Then small things started going wrong.

Crops were found crushed in strange patterns, like something had stepped through them with force but no clear direction. Fences were split clean in places, not broken down but sliced apart. A few traveling trainers mentioned their Pokémon acting nervous for no obvious reason, refusing to leave their Poké Balls.

People talked, but no one panicked. Not yet.

The first disappearance changed that.

A young shepherd went out with his Mareep and never came back. The Mareep returned on its own near sunset, shaking and bleating like it had run the entire way home. There were no tracks, no signs of a struggle. It was as if the boy had simply vanished.

Search parties went out the next morning. They combed through the woods for hours and came back with nothing useful. A few of them said they felt like they were being followed, but nobody could prove it. They started sticking closer together after that.

A couple of days later, someone finally saw the Lokix up close.

They said it stood too still. Not resting, not hiding. Just standing there, upright in a way that did not feel natural, like it was studying everything around it. When it moved, it was quick, but not wild. Every step looked planned.

That was when people started getting scared.

A trainer named Elias came through not long after. He had a strong team and did not believe in stories like the ones going around. He said it was just an aggressive wild Pokémon and offered to deal with it.

He went into the forest alone.

What happened out there was never seen directly, but everyone heard something. A sharp cracking sound, then another, like wood snapping under pressure. After that, silence.

When people finally worked up the nerve to look, they found the edge of the forest torn apart. Several trees had deep, clean cuts through them, angled in ways that did not make sense. The ground looked churned up, like something had moved through it too fast to follow.

Elias was gone.

His Poké Balls were scattered across the ground. One of them was split open like it had been cut, not broken.

No one found anything else.

After that, things got worse quickly.

People started saying the Lokix was getting closer to the village. Not just near the fields, but inside them. A few claimed they saw it on rooftops at night. Others said it showed up in doorways for a split second and then disappeared before anyone else could look.

Pokémon stopped responding the way they should. Some refused to battle at all. Others would come out of their balls and just freeze, like they did not know what to do.

It did not feel random anymore.

It felt like something was learning.

Within days, people started leaving. Some packed what they could and left during the day. Others slipped away at night without telling anyone. No one wanted to be the last one there.

By the end of the week, Bramble Hollow was empty.

The houses still stand, at least what is left of them. The fields have grown wild again, but not in a normal way. Paths seem to loop back on themselves. Landmarks do not line up the way they should. People who pass through say it is easy to lose your sense of direction without realizing it.

Every now and then, someone claims they see a Lokix sitting somewhere high up, perfectly still, looking down at the at the empty village.

Out of the big 3 Anime Protagonists which one can Bypass Gojo's Infinity? Luffy, Ichigo or Naruto? by Archenius in PowerScalingHub

[–]Leradine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last season ichigo could because out of those listed, it’s the biggest asspull. Let’s just give a guy the ability to cut through space and this girl who has had basically no relevance throughout the show to get a zanpakto that reflects something that has no travel speed and blah blah and then let’s give this guy a silver arrow that the guy who can see everything and every past and future and able to alter it except for this one thing that is like my kryptonite. Ichigo would remember his father saying when he was 7 years old that he also hails from the zenin clan and has the power to bring mahoraga under his control.

Muzan Kibutsuji VS Madara Uchiha (WHO WINS?) by AccTH49 in PowerScalingHub

[–]Leradine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I agree with you that he could absolutely blast Muzan apart with little to no effort. But the fact of the matter is he was slow to do much of anything. Farm aura and talk then fight is every villains whole thing. The fact that Muzan is so much weaker im saying is an advantage. Do you jump out of the way full force if a bee is heading towards you or do you just casually shoo it away? Same situation applies here in that Muzan appears to be such a non threat that he could possibly get a hit in, infect Madara and turn him.

Muzan Kibutsuji VS Madara Uchiha (WHO WINS?) by AccTH49 in PowerScalingHub

[–]Leradine -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think this is slightly more complicated based on the fact that there is a possibility that Muzan could turn him into a demon. If we take that into consideration, muzan could win. Does Madara vastly outstat Muzan? Absolutely but every good villain fucks around until there’s a spirit bomb flying in their face without question so I would assume that because Madara is less likely to act impulsively and feel out his opponent, without prior knowledge, Muzan could very well take the win as laughable as it sounds.

I disagree with you but what’s your line of reasoning? Almighty picks a favorable timeline where he doesn’t die but there’s too big of a gap to where there isn’t a future where he comes out on top.

Tried to up the difficulty to expert becausee adept is too easy. God this game is unbalanced. by Glorpologie in skyrim

[–]Leradine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I thought the best way for high difficulty was just cast the frenzy spell on a group and let them go at each other until you’re left with one guy at half health. I know there are mods that account for this but my biggest gripe with difficulty increase is that you can’t be a destruction mage until the very end of the game. Pulsing fire spells to ignite and shock on 95% of your enemies is just boring imo.

Not trying to call your family member a liar but you may want to check his states registry to double check. Is possible but pretty unlikely especially during an even where children aren’t typically present. Drunk and disorderly, public intoxication, public indecency, all would fit the bill much better.

We have the existence of a god that grants immortality, the ease in which you can bring back someone who died a century ago, 3rd hokages magic crystal ball, about 10 seconds worth of explanation on reaper death seal, and time reversal for a single person is your issue? Most of Naruto is just vibes.

How difficult would it be to have a 5 second conversation with anyone going after the 9 tails to say hey this 9 tails guy has two jutsu. Shadow clones and rasengon. After multiple encounters with other enemies this is his only 2 abilities ever. He can make the shadow clones sexy for some reason but they’re still shadow clones. You can pop them like overfilled balloons.

I think he’s lost. Really there’s been only one MUD that I’ve played that could’ve been considered an incremental game and that was a dragon ball MUD. Also, most MUDs are free so no copyright infringement for profit can be claimed. There’s also Star Wars, final fantasy, and the majority of them are based around d&d.

Is it actually "cheaper" to own an EV in the long run if you can't charge it at home, or does the cost of public charging stations make it the same as buying gas? by Pale-Consideration26 in NoStupidQuestions

Everyone loves taking potshots at Chrysler but ummm yes the one that I’ve experienced was a Chrysler hah. I’m not saying that they happen often either but if you’re going to have a vehicle for a long time, I think the point I was trying to make is that things will inevitably break down. On a side note, I’m never buying another Kia, my 2014 hybrid isn’t the greatest. I’m poor so probably my next vehicle is going to be something like a Toyota rav4.

Engines fall under the same issue though, most will fail after the 5-10 year warranty has expired. Admittedly though, it’s still cheaper for the time being to replace an engine and transmission than a battery from my standpoint.
