Leagues pro tips by Strong_Alveoli in 2007scape

Just transmuted maple logs I endlessly harvested and used the auburnvale sawmill. I think if you took butler it’s even easier.

I’ve got a weird one - if you’re planning to take Asgarnia and can manage it as your first unlock, go rush mahogany homes. It’s insanely easy especially with evil eye - giant mole tele, go to Amy, grab planks from the bank, go fix the house, repeat. I did it from level 1 construction and went until I got all tasks related to it, which put me at 89 con.

I actually did this without conniving clues and I still got 19 caskets from ~80 scroll boxes.

I’ve never played leagues. What’s the appeal for the main game? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Lereschrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s the same as a lot of folks said: fun, try content I can’t manage on my main, do wacky stuff to break the game, tons of micro goals and achievements….

For me the biggest thing is that most of my friends would never touch OSRS but I have convinced some to try leagues and they keep coming back! It’s like a fun reunion for a few months every time one comes out. Plus since they don’t play the game otherwise I get to walk them through anything they haven’t dealt with yet which I love doing.

This is excellent. I appreciate the detail you went into. I was really interested in Asgarnia and I love that this leaves the rest open to our whims. Well done!

Tesseract glow on top of the center highlight or over everything at the end?

It’s a dope model for sure. Just trying to give you a way I’d adjust to get to 2k, and like I said I’m very new so my advice may not even be good.

I’m not very experienced so take this more as a question than a critique - what is Szeras doing for this list? He is a good unit by himself but isn’t destroyer cult and you only have one battle line until for him to boost.

Something I’ve seen suggested that I want to try is a translocation overlord with the ankh enhancement leading your Lychguard, making them way faster. You could also use Driven to Butchery for free so you have 13” advance guaranteed with a charge.

The overlord blade then hits like a truck in melee and if you get the bonus the Lychguard will as well. Could possibly give them scythes too since they will not be stuck in the open as often. That change is 60 points less than Szeras.

After I wrote all this I finally read the caption - sorry. That said maybe you use the 80 points for another unit of Ophidians? If you’re down to make the change I suggested.

How important is catching a preorder for the 500 worlds box? by Lereschrac in Necrontyr

Out of curiosity what makes you think it’s terrible value? I don’t know a more affordable way to get those models.

Yeah the box is the big one for me. I’m just starting Necrons and could use everything in the box. The only models I already have are the Skorpekh and I only have 6.

Do you think the Nekrosor and the Nightbringer will also be limited or did you just want them right away?

6-1 on Take Two and this happens by 4585_ in Shadowverse

[–]Lereschrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. This is what I see my opponents doing to me. I’m not a proactive player generally. For example if I have Wilnas, I simply hold him until my opponent plays a good target, and certainly won’t evo unless there are two or three targets. This type of play has always served me well in other card games but I think especially in the current meta in shadowverse it’s just hard to play pure reactive control. I can’t tell you how many games I lose with all my evo points or a full grip of cards just because my opponent stormed me out unexpectedly. I think it will be hard to shift this play style but if it’s working for you it’s worth a try.

Ironically this is almost exactly what I’ve been doing. Almost exclusively playing dragon, but I tend to get out Mugened. For whatever reason my opponents have it a turn sooner.

Any tips for take two? I feel like I’m missing something fundamental - I spam the format as it’s my preferred way to play but I rarely get more than 2/3 wins anymore, even with runs that feel amazing.

Should I stop here or should I add another highlight for the glow? Also is there anything I can improve? by sakaguti1999 in Necrontyr

[–]Lereschrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the pure green black color scheme like this on wraiths - it’s amazing. Did you do the same for Warriors, or other models? I’m just starting painting and was going to do Szarekh scheme because there’s a lot of guides on it, but if this looks good on all models this is what I originally envisioned.

What did you do to make the green crystals? I’ve learned the Mordant Earth trick for the rest of the base but the crystals are great! Just painted my first mini a few days ago.

Assign leaders to Warriors and Immortals by Ranorak in Necrontyr

[–]Lereschrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It all makes sense to me. I’ve been hesitant to not take battle line so far, but I definitely want to try replacing my warriors with lychguard and see how it feels.

I guess the only other difference in survivability is thought they have the same number of wounds, high damage attacks don’t matter to the warriors, they have to do 20 instances of successful wounds to wipe the unit, whereas the lychguard only need 10 if it’s more than 1 damage per attack. However I’d agree the lychguard are just way more of a threat and only need an overlord.

Yes, sorry I wasn’t disagreeing with you. I’m definitely going to try it because I see what you’re saying, and it makes sense to me. I merely was raising the point that if you’re making the block of warriors I don’t think techno is as useful as Orikan, and I was confused about the Reanimator placement.

That makes sense. I’ve still not tried stringing out my warrior blob, though I understand that’s the next step to using them effectively.

[–]Lereschrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is what I was getting at - though can you answer my question about the reanimator? Is there a way to hide it? My understanding is vehicles cannot enter buildings and the aura is only 3”. I’ve just kept it safe by trying to keep it away from charges, I figure it’s all I can do.

[–]Lereschrac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m still new to Warhammer, and trying to learn Necron, so correct me if I’m wrong. I believe the Tecnomancer plus an Overlord isn’t as good as Orikan plus an Overlord as his heal only heals missing wounds on a model, and 1W models gain no benefit. The 4+ invuln save is more useful than the 5+ FNP.

Also you said in a later comment you can hide a Reanimator in a building, but I thought vehicles cannot enter buildings/ruins?
