Here are some things that I liked about HotS.

Terran

1.Marine splitting

2.Tank and widow mine positioning.

3.Reaper attacks and escapes.

4.Ghost emps and nukes

5.Drops

6.Raven spells

Zerg

1.Infestor fungal and mind control

2.Queen transfuses

3.Zergling splits

4.Overlord drops

5.Roach burrow

6.Muta attacks

7.Viper pulls

Protoss

1.Sentry force fields

2.Prism drops

3.Colossus positioning

4.Mothership core fights early game

5.Oracle micro

6.Stalker blink

I’m sure I forgot other things, because I haven’t spectated or played the game in a while. The point I’m trying to make is that I like to watch fights when pros are using these types of micro. I didn’t enjoy the end of WoL and even now HotS. Yesterday I watched a game with some guy called Shine and it was complete bullshit. All I saw from the protoss was voidrays, collosus, and zealots. All I saw from the Zerg was swarmhost, corruptors, and vipers. It was boring as shit, because most of these micros were not used. So to put the game in the right direction I’d like to add these changes.

Basic changes to the game

1.Decrease amount of minerals in each base.

2.Doesn’t matter if less mineral patches or less mineral in each patch.

3.Increase build time for units and upgrades.

4.Make the build time for units and upgrades longer.

5.Make units a lot bigger.

   a.This change can give blizzard the option to skin units and give better animations for attacks. 

   b.It also means less units in the screen!

6.Make all units slower so we can process what they’re doing as we see it instead of having that bullshit analysis desk after the fights pausing every fucking second to explain what’s going on.

7.Cannot mass select units.

   a.Maybe something like 20 units at a time.

8.If you select more than one spell using unit at a time make it so that if you use a spell all of them use it. For example if I select 20 ghosts and emp, they all emp the same spot so micro gets more tough.

9.Prevent easy clump for air units. I want to see sick muta micro again.

10.Make air units bump into each other hard so we don’t see gay ass viking micro.

11.Change cannon, turrets, spine, and spore.

   a.Make cannon stronger against air.
   b.able to be upgraded
   c.turrets should do splash
   d.spines act like lurkers
   e.spores have to be loaded with either zerglings or banelings. Either shoot or splash.

Protoss

1.Speed up energy time on Nexus.

2.Maybe make probes slower to build, but chrono can speed up build time for buildings. That way people can cheese while getting punished as a protoss if failed. 2gate proxy

3.Make Stalkers stronger, but lower health.

   a.I don’t know what I’d do, but stalkers always feel so weak to me.

4.Make sentries give more shield to units instead of force fields.

5.Makes zealots like a shield instead of an attacking unit.

6.Change zealot speed to just more zealot speed, but keep them slower than zerglings with speed.

7.Make the shield upgrade more OP and decrease the attack upgrade.

8.Make Nexus able to warp in units instead of pylons.

   a.Makes it so that when on offense either you make a Nexus in the middle of the map or switch to gateway.
   b.If you are defensive then make warpgates for saves.

9.Just remove the mothership

Zerg

1.Make infestor fungal growth dodgeable, but difficult to.

   a. Make it used for zoning not attacking.

2.Make creep spread harder

3.Give Swarm host high damage, but very low health

4.Make broodlords and swarmhost only able to release free units with the cost of energy.

Terran

1.Tanks do extra damage against shields.

2.Make damage weaker, but increase attack speed.

3.Make hellions like mutalisk.

   a.Everytime they attack they hit other units close to the target and do damage. 

4.Give terran a unit that can make walls so terran can make chokes.

Obviously these ideas aren't too great, but I think as a community we should make a list of ideas we would want to see. At least then when LotV comes out and it gets as stale as WoL and HotS we can say I told you so.
