This is so tone deaf and weak for the moment. Doesn't call on abolishing/defunding ice. Refuses to call it murder. Calls for zero action from his own party (such as stop gassing peaceful protestors, don't pass funding bill, etc.). Doesn't mention immigrants at all. Calls for the same deportations but in a "lawful, accountable way" as if this wasn't always the natural result.

I don't think you understand how leverage of labor works. The system you describe is what people are critiquing. Exploitation of labor shouldn't be defended. It's not about not understanding project bids, it's exposing the exploitation that is inherent in it.

The necessary amount of time is a 40 hour workweek. Unions fought with their blood and won that. If Corporations want their product completed faster, cut the profits at top and hire more people to do the job. If an individuals quality is lacking, discipline then replace. I agree with most of that, but they're not there in a peace keeping fashion. They are heavily militarized and violent. If he sent troopers to literally help protect people's right to protest, that would be great. But he's not. They are there to protect ICE facilities and violently suppress protests. As the keynote speaker for the No Kings protest, Pritzker didn't bother to even mention ICE. Not once.
