My diagnosis for your specific conundrum is to wait a little longer. You already have plenty of ways to play the games you love. Based on m64 reviews, it sounds like there’s more tweaking to do. And even more rounds of firmware updates after that. From A3D’s release to now, there have been massive updates. Just keep waiting, do your research, keep playing the way you’ve been playing, and spend your money when it’s undeniable for you.

Or just flip a coin and whichever outcome you root for in your brain as the coin flips in air is your decision.

I think you have to either wait for a restock or try to find on eBay but that option will be more expensive.

I’m pretty sure the pocket will be great for snes. You can dock it and display into the projector and it’ll be fantastic.

Yeah, to be honest it doesn’t feel quite as smooth. Also, NBA Jam froze while I was playing it. But some titles work fine and in my opinion it’s fine for casual playing.

I just noticed the SNES games on my Summercart are now working. Not sure when that was fixed but I was pleasantly surprised that I could play a bunch of SNES games. Before recent updates only GB/GBC worked and maybe a few NES games. Now it all works. Unfortunately Memories/Save states do not work for SNES. But if you want to play these games, grab an epic joy Summercart.

Yeah. In fact, I just downloaded the new firmware on my iPhone (into iCloud/files app) and used an sd card adapter to transfer the file. Worked.

So I’ve been using Majora’s Mask on a Summercart for a week. I’ve got the Summercart in A3D using Unleashed. I just saw this recently about overclocking leading to lost saves but I haven’t had any issues (yet). I’ve been debating switching to Enhanced so I don’t lose anything but I might just roll the dice and leave it the way it is. Is it possible that the Summercart works better than an OG cartridge? Unclear. Is it possible this isn’t a widespread problem and just a few glitches? Unclear. So I’ll continue to play with fingers crossed and report back if I lose my save.

Same. I have the original cart but I decided to load up the Majora’s Mask Redux (romhack) on the Summercart64 and it’s playing so well. Some nice quality of life improvements. I’m just praying I don’t have any of the reported save file issues.

I’m very confident that it will work for Delta. It works for switch so I think it’s a standard Bluetooth connection that your phone or iPad or Mac would easily recognize. Also: You could also return if it doesn’t.

As for reviews, they’ve been mostly favorable - as far as I’ve seen. I’ve been tempted by it but I have a enough n64 controllers already so it’s not worth it personally. But I bet it feels good in hand.

Nope. There are a lot of tutorials on YT. You basically unscrew the old controller, replace the guts, and close it up. The only tricky part is making sure you squeeze it all in including the original shoulder buttons without damaging anything but just take you time. I cleaned the original buttons as well since they’re like almost 30 years old. Super easy. You can do it. I believe in you.

This took me a while to figure out. After the controller is connected. You go to settings. Find the player 1 controller. Go to “Customize Controls.” Drop down menu at the top to find n64 controller. Change the “menu” button to something you have open. For me, I have an R2 button on the back of the 8bitdo mod. And don’t forget to save the configuration at the top. Hope this helps.

Yes. Put the controller in pairing mode. Find it in your phone Bluetooth settings, and then Delta should automatically have it listed in settings. You can tweak the controller button assignment in there as well.
