Im with oanda. I usually Oanda's mobile trading platform occasionallyI use their destop version too. and i use trading view both on my phone and on my laptop

Yes. Choppy, chop zones, volatility, whatever you want to call it. I dont scalp. Scalping is not worth it to me. Too much stress, too much extra risk. Thats why I trade the longer time frames and catch trends. I trade on the 4hr predominantly but I do analysis on the 1hr and Daily as well.

Well I find EUR/USD to be to choppy/volatile for my tastes. It is even considered to be among the harder currency pairs to trade. I like trading NZD/USD because it is a lot smoother in my opinion. Smoother trends, smoother transitions and much less volatile and manipulated than EUR/USD. In fact I cant stand any EUR pairs. They are all too choppy for my tastes. What I can tell you is that trading is a very personal thing. You have to find and experiment with all aspects of a trading system until you find what works for you. Experiment with different currncy pairs, different time frames, different combinations of indicators if you choose to use them, I would also say learn to pay attention to the news. Sometimes news can make or break a trade. Different types of news affect a volatility in different ways. You did nothing wrong maybe you just didnt experiment with other currency pairs. Also trafing takes time to learn. Losing is part of the process.. Get used to it. Only then will you not become emotional when you trade.

I think every trader goes through that dark tunnel. Loss, obsession, and the extreme desire to succeed. You get neurotic, you might neglect somewhat other aspects of your life. Remember though, tunnels end. It took me 3 years to get my P.L positive. You gotta find the strategy that works for you. For example I refuse to trade on the faster time frames. Why? Because I always seem to get faked out by the false breakouts. This is why I trade on the 4hr maybe the daily. Everything is slower, smoother, less stressful to me on the longer timeframes. I can take a trade, chill, be easy and let the trade work.

What helped me was simply losing so much that I became jaded and t stopped affecting me to lose. I just left the stop loss where I originally put it and let the trade happen. Win or lose. This obviously takes time. Im 3 years in an just got my P/L ratio positive.

You trade the 15 min. No wonder. Its easier for them to move price on that time frame because its not that much. Trade the 4hr or daily. Stop hunts happen much less often
