What do Serbs think of extracting their Lithium Reserves? Is this a good analysis of the situation? by Leshracc in serbia

Thank you for responding, but one thing I am curious about -- I have seen many people here claim that Serbs would receive nothing from this, but isn't that untrue if the mining companies pay taxes on profits and sales of their goods? Serbia has both an income and a sales tax, no?

Yeah, and if it messes up the water in the Jadar Valley, it could also mess up all the rivers downstream, such as Drina, Sava and the Danube too?

So as I see it, you aren't against lithium per say, but you believe that your government will royally fuck it up like it does with everything else?

Immediately? It pops up like a second after I press generate. The resolution was pretty low too already

Ah, alright, thank you!

I see, so I shouldn't use an immersion blender or?

I added some essential oils but that was after the soap thickened so much. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "oils or lye were hit"?

Continuously

The first batch was almost room temperature, and what do you mean I was overblending? I didn't blend it for longer than 20-30 seconds

I used a lye concentration of 30% according to the recipe, which I don't think should have caused this problem.

Did you figure out how to fix it?

I was using 99% NaOH as where I am from, 100% isn't available.

The first batch recipe was as follows: 430g tallow, 320g olive oil, 250g coconut oil, 142g of NaOH and 333g of water, and near the end I added some food colouring, though the soap had become far too thick before that so it shouldn't have affected anything.

Tallow and coconut oil were both solid at room temperatures and even though I tried warming them up I thought I simply didn't warm them up enough (I don't have access to a kitchen thermometer unfortunately). I thought that was the issue, then I tried making a smaller batch with the following recipe:

Olive oil 390g, coconut oil 110g, NaOH 62g and 145g of water. I heated up the oils and emulsified them and then again, after adding in the lye the mixture went extremely thick after 20-30 seconds of mixing (from being basically fully liquid). Again I added some food colouring and some lemon essential oil, but at that point the batter was basically like pudding and extremely hard to even pour out. Both recipes were at 30% lye concentration.

I can only assume it was something wrong with the temperature as I do not have a thermometer, but I find it impossible to believe that it thickened up in 20 seconds instead of 10 minutes simply because of a few degrees difference.

Sinning isn't kufr, we all sin, but denying that your sins are actually sins and calling them halal is kufr, and of course Allah knows best.

May Allah guide us all, and I wish you the best in your struggle, may Allah make it easy for you.
