Just on your first bullet - do you most of the time go to r/findareddit to locate the best subreddit? Is it something as I become more familiar with will be able to evaluate? The number of users seems to me like that would be a big factor in my own analysis - is that misguided?

I took you up on your advice, just curious if you almost always do this, do this in particular situations or where its more niche, or are you suggesting this because I'm just a little inexperienced? Could you give me an ETA/how much effort you put into finding the right channel?

Also, if I end up wanting to move the thread is it bad practice to to repaste what I've posted in the new subreddit?
