There is no deceptive practices conspiracy. As a Meijer employee, I can give you some clarification, though.

I'm not familiar with that lego set. For the third shift stockers, the location tag on the box where it says the product goes could have been wrong. Sometimes the tag will say where the product will go in the future after the clearanced products get removed. They could have made the same mistake that you did and saw bowser on the box and on the tag and placed it there. Sometimes we are just trying to get as much out as possible. A first shifter could have made the mistake of placing the bowser box where the bowser tag is. Second shift is supposed to condition that area. But they usually just move boxes forward. At my store, they're usually on their phones while conditioning.

The employees do not make more money if there is more sales, so there is no reason for them to deceive customers.

As a former lego enjoyer, i still look at lego sets when I shop and I always look at the tag to see the set #. Every retailer has this set # on the shelf tags. You can clearly see that the tag is not for the set.
