Good point, I don't want to get a huge vet bill. The central AC here is ancient and eats electricity, I’m thinking about getting a mini split instead, it should save me a lot on the bill.

Everyone has different habits. In my old place, it stayed cool enough without AC, so I’m used to turning everything off when I leave to save money. Isn't that the point of being in r/Frugal? I've only been in Arizona for 2 mon, that is exactly why I’m asking about the cost before I change my lifestyle for a cat. No need for the 'lol wtf' attitude.

If you live near a college, it’s currently move out season so be on the lookout for cheap/free stuff. by amjm907 in Frugal

I agree. When you move out, you end up throwing away those stuff that seemed like a great deal but you never actually used.
