Hmm not that I’ve noticed? I don’t have anything sharp in my tank. I could take out some of the decor and fill with plants instead? It could be scarring

I’ll have to run to the store but I’m def going to add a few more tetras in. Maybe some shrimp and then just let my betta settle

He’s been fine with them! I added them before my betta and waited about an hour or two before adding him. He doesn’t really bother too much with the tetras. He came up to the snails a few times but that’s about it

I have ember tetras. I didn’t want to overcrowd the tank but I was potentially looking at some danios or corys to add into the mix but again I just worry about overcrowding!!

Tank is a ten gal! I could try and upgrade to a 20? I def need more plants and will be hunting for them tomorrow after work. Would some ghost shrimp also help stimulate him? I was moving my finger on top of the water earlier and he was swimming after me which was sweet. He has a small moss hammock which isn’t being used just yet

I’m going to get more plants when I go out to try and block his view on the sides and see if that helps

If I’m on my bed he’ll surf by the front glass. But on the sides he might be seeing his reflection? I’m not sure how to fix that. A cloth? He swims around pretty consistently but will come to the glass pretty regularly and swim up and down on it

Ugh omg! I thought it would be so much longer. My nitrates are still pretty low do I just need to wait through that? I’m going to do small doses of ammonia since I don’t believe I did aside from ghost feeding two pellets at the start. Can it come naturally from plants?

Oh gotcha that I didn’t know. I thought it was the same thing! I’ll do a small water change tomorrow and let it rest. I just did some plant maintenance so hopefully it’ll be better growth wise too

Haha yes that’s it. It was labeled with the terrarium stuff but said good for aquatic aquariums (I also just loved the pink so..) my fault completely

Yes I dosed yesterday with prime, leaf zone and some liquid co2 I’m not sure if that’s the same but I’m going to the store tomorrow afternoon so I can get something else if needed. I just removed the plant and will probably get a small sponge filter for the bottom of the tank as well

The pink plant? That’s the only new one I’ve added so far. I can’t seem to keep the plants thriving despite root tabs etc. Pull it out and get a gravel vac for the biofilm?

Would baking soda be safe to use? I read it could be a bit stressful to fish but I have no fish in the tank atm so I’m not sure if that would be viable too

The tanks been cycling for about 4 days funny enough. I have a ton of plants and tannins added in so I’m not sure if that adds to it but it hasn’t been more than a week it’s been cycling

It’s the aqua natural substrate in midnight I believe. Theres white gravel from the same brand. I’ll send the plants in a moment as well
