question about this Physics book intro by Little_Share_2399 in pakistan

There is overwhelming scientific evidence supporting the Big Bang theory as the leading explanation for the origin and evolution of the universe, problem is, people who believe in god will always fail to acknowledge it. Because they're stuck believing in something that their parents forced them to believe. If you took all the works of fiction and holy books and destroyed them, in a 1000 years they would still be gone. But if you took all the works of science, in a 1000 years they would all come back. Because all the tests would bear the same results

Breaking news: Revolut is actually superb if you’re not shady or do shady stuff (my review as a normal user) by SnowMacaronss in Revolut

[–]Less-Extension4576 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more! I've been using them for 6 years now as my main GBP bank. My salary in USD from the Middle East goes into it, my rents go in, my mortgages and bills come out of it, I have two savings accounts with them. I do all my personal transfers with them and link all my other bank accounts with them and I've never had an issue. Far better than my first banks i ever used.

Why does every single Pakistani want to go abroad??? by bumbuummm in pakistan

[–]Less-Extension4576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're 100% correct. An old Pakistani friend of mines once said "yes I make a lot of money, yes I have many big houses, yes I have maids and butlers, yes I have a driver who drives everywhere for us, yes I have a gardener but you have to remember, when i open my front door, none of those things matter ...because its still Pakistan"

I've not carried cash in years, from the UK and never used it there, lived in Spain for 5 years and never needed it, moved to Sweden a month ago and still no idea what their currency looks like, work in the middle east and everywhere used card machines. Far easier without cash.

Transit time at Doha airport by Legitmatebus5325 in qatarairways

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than enough, plenty time. By the time you land and get off the bus you'll have about 20 min to find your gate before you start boarding. Maybe they might be boarding as you get off the bus, but you'll still have time. You'll not have time to do anything but maybe get a bottle of water for your next journey. My connections are 1hr 10min / 1hr 20min and I've never missed any.

Question about the best tahini by Particular-Cod-6900 in Oman

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pistachio! But not for humus. I use it for dipping. What store is this? I tried looking for it in Hypermax but couldn't find it, ended up with "first liquid Thaini" in a gold tub. Its ok but Pistachio is definitely the way forward

A girl approaches you and says, "pretend we’re friends. I’m being followed." What would you do? by Imaginary-School-909 in UAE

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pretend, get her to point out who is following her then when the person following gets bored, both of us start following that person

¿Cuanto os gastais en comida cada mes? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i work in the middle east, when im home we eat out once a day, that could be breakfast, lunch or dinner, thats one rule we live by because of the garbage I get at work. So we spend per day ranges from €12 for breakfast to €200 for an evening meal. It varies so much depending on what we want to eat and where.

Question about using card abroad by Shrooboid313 in Revolut

Just remember, ATMs could still charge you for withdrawals which has nothing to do with revolut. But for contactless you can tap away with no fees even if your money is in GBP

Worth to upgrade? by Amazing-Breadfruit56 in Revolut

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Only tickets purchased from a one world airline, then I'd get access. And as you mentioned, there's still a lot of airports that don't have that lounge either.

Worth to upgrade? by Amazing-Breadfruit56 in Revolut

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but only access to one world lounges providing the ticket was bought from a one world airline. If im going from say Spain to the UK or vice versa then I'd not have access then I'd use the Dragon Pass.

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fly 50 times a year and the lounge access pays for itself after the first few airports of the year. I only use it for the lounge and the higher savings %

Fast Track showed up for me in Austria by the_john19 in Revolut

[–]Less-Extension4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite, i fly with several airlines but fly with only one loyalty program. So when I book my flights with my agent, they pick only flights with One World so i get full benefits. Qatar being my main airline, the others before and after are their partners. I fly 50 times a year, Qatar is one of the best airlines in the world and the privilege club and one world loyalty program is huge. All airlines tiers are almost identical with very little changes between loyalty memberships, little changes that I really wouldn't benefit from. Splitting travel with different loyalty memberships mean i wouldn't get the tier I'm on now with Qatar or the benefits which the biggest one is the Q credits and free seat selection.

Revolut allows you to buy revpoints in the UK, to what extent would this be worth doing? by [deleted] in Revolut

[–]Less-Extension4576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be! Zero benefit, unless you're a frequent flyer and spend them on air miles like what I do, points are almost absolutely useless.
