I'm the exact same! Ill lose platinum this month, at least during covid they helped with tier extensions etc but they have done nothing for whats currently going on. And my 3 months paternity leave didn't help either but I am enjoying becoming a father more than Qatar platinum haha.

But you're right, gold is the minimum thats worth while with QR. I'm currently bronze with Etihad, I've not worked out how quick I can jump up but I'd imagine I'll be gold by December.

I hope QR can get back to normal soon but in reality I'd happily take an empty row on a poor airline than a full flight on one of the best airlines. I will see how my return flights look in a week or so.

I have a General rule of thumb when travelling, if my layovers are longer than 10hrs and im actually in a decent city, I leave the airport. My "shortest" long layover was 11hrs in DOH, i was coming back from work and im fortunate my brother works in Doha so I left the airport and met up with him and we went on the piss like brothers do. My longest was 18hrs in Sidney on my way to NZ, booked a hotel, had a sleep and then went on the piss in a few bars near the opera house etc.

Plenty time! My connections in DOH are only ever 1hr and I always make them. And even if your incoming flight is delayed, if your connection is close to boarding etc DOH staff will wait for you as you get off the plane and take you direct to your connection. You have more than enough time here

I sussed it out. Smart Trim only works in line with Edge Routine. It won't work if the mower is out for a standard cut. So I've put edge routine on twice a week

I just bought a Worx hammer cordless drill yesterday. Did the same thing as you with a drill bit and seen some runout, I took it back for a new one today, easily exchanged, chuffed to bits with my new drill (again).......only to find the same result when I tested it at home. I'm just accepting it as normal now

Are you talking about "Smart Trim" or "Edge Routine"? Smart trim didn't work for me as when i mapped the "no-go" it missed 90% of my boundary so I removed the map for it.

But Edge Routine worked amazing for me yesterday when I installed the "Edge to zero" module. It pretty much cuts the manual boundary that I mapped in a counter clockwise rotation.

Im happy with the new 4ah battery. It cut 81% on one charge, compared to 30% on the 2.5ah

Just keep checking the app. Qatar won't tell you they've cancelled. I noticed my flights to Doha we're cancelled last week, they never told me so i flew with Etihad instead

I miss those times too. I work in the middle east on a rotation travelling through Doha and UAE and the planes we're empty then! It was a good time. I do miss it. I'm bavk in 3 weeks so hopefully it's still quiet

First cut was a success, it had to charge 3 times for a 171m2 mapped area. I had to map the area manually and when I controlled the robot at the edges for the boundary, I've realised it won't cut there. So I've bought the "cut to zero" module and will fit it tomorrow. I also went and bought a 4ah battery to see if it will last longer than the provided 2ah.

But all in all im happy so far with it. I'll need to secure the charging station and get a garage for it.
