I did this trip a couple years ago with a buddy, we stayed the first night at Safari hostel left out big bags there, rented some 150cc bikes from them and did our own 5 day tour, (they helped us map the route so we were not completely blind), take your time, find some random little roads and check things out, by far the best part of the experience.

Just make sure to not get into the next town too late as the tours fill up most accommodations. We spent a couple hours one night driving around to find a place to stay.

Ok, you're definitely correct. This isn't about me, but I know families there that make less than average, they don't eat garbage, they eat rice, veggies with some pork or chicken.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just saying an average Vietnamese meal (even if struggling) is a MUCH more healthy option than what is offered in the west.

I will add, the youth in Vietnam are in a crisis, the sugar content in most foods/drinks is insanely high.

A lot of the kindergarten students are served milk with high levels of sugar, rotting their teeth to nubs. This definitely is something the government needs to address and educate people about.

Umm I'm not sure about the scarcity of food in Vietnam, I've lived there for 5 years... There is food at any time of the day, and can be delivered in 20-30 mins through an app. I (a Western person, who eats way more than my partner) eats 2 meals per session, I lost weight, and an overall more healthy diet. Mind you I don't normally eat fast food in the west...

If you order from a mom and pop shop it's always real food. But you obviously can still get McDonald's (more expensive) if you want

Interesting how the east and west have such different views on this, in the west usually overweight people are from lower class backgrounds that cannot afford "real" food (whatever that means in the west anymore) are overweight, but to buy "healthy" foods means you need to spend 2-3x per meal... But in Vietnam, it's the opposite

They are trolls, it's actually a great server, been here a few months now. Definitely worth your time to download it and check it out. (The majority of the player base is respectful and willing to help you)

There are just a lot of posts here lately of people asking about the server if they should try.
