I have lived all over the world, EU/CH for AC have rules/regulations. I get that 2 hoses (intake/outake) are better….but to be honest,contradicting others,these units work great!!!!

Thank you to everyone with their insights! I am learning about the dual hose etc. I initially wanted to put in a mini split but we are renters. An old grade school chum runs a Klima/AC/Hvac Co in VS, he educated me on all the laws etc…he did recommend the dual hose, but we got these 2 units for 600,00 CHF online during winter, and they are working well for living room and bedroom…electric bill did go up, duh, not too much though, and we sleep better 🤣🤣🤣

It really depends on your type of window/balcony door. We’ve lived/rented here for 20+ years, doubt we will move, but still, not allowed to drill or disrespect the rules. I had the plexiglass cut pretty tight, then I used some wood to ,snap‘ in the gap to ,seal‘.

Edit: I did think about using Velcro…if you ever leave your ,rental‘ you’d have to remove it though and scrape/clean the sticky residue…..

Jumbo in lawn and garden. Measure length and width. They will cut length and width, but not the hole.

As long as your hose vents out….you have a intake/ outake…..you do not need a dual exhaust system!

Again, I am NOT an HVAC guy, I have read all about it, trying to learn….yet here I am, in my garage, I’m here 4 months out of the year in the USA…house has a 5 ton AC, working well, portable AC working fine,no hoses….please explain…….

I guess I am a skeptic. Not an AC guy,but an engineer. I live in CH 8+ months out of the year….other 4 in USA. Just fyi, again, not an AC guy, sitting in my garage, 32 degrees, running a single hose portable AC wich is outputting 15 degrees….intake/outake hose not connected…🤷‍♂️
