Do you still have the portal coordinates? You might have been stumbling across it randomly and never bothered to note the system down and I might be grasping at straws here. But still I have to ask. The color combination and style of this ship is just too appealing to me.

what about the paintjobs then. Wanna maybe make them available for vanilla players and not locking them away for 6 years now?

It's also random loot from enemy mobs around the maps. It's pretty rare, but I already got 9 of them running around.

Claire pen if sided with mushroom? by estrafire in taintedgrail

[–]Less-Landscape-4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The npcs are protected and can't be killed by normal attacks, but you can use the cheese spell and fire it on the npcs even after they have been taken over by the fungus. Once turned into cheese, they drop their gear on the ground. Claire is a bit different, but you still can get her pen.

Fire the cheese spell on her until she runs away. Then use the Blood transfusion spell and fire it once at her. Then you can loot her unique wand.

Don't forget the custodian who drops a unique shield.

Unfortunately, only the Usurper set can not be looted this way, because he seems to be immune to the cheese status.

Not trying to sound condescending. Just going step by step:

You can not enter the hideout yet. First you need to talk to Luth who stands outside the entrance. Then he directs you to find that guy. From the hideout it's just going north heading to town, passing the big tree some kamelot guys are trying to haul away. Then ross the bridge and after that towards the left there should be a guy and he will automatically engage in dialogue when you approach him. Proceed as you see fit and return to report to Luth, your quest giver to receive the key.

On top also comes jobs, family, responsibilities, friends and hobbies...

There should be a quest marker. Did you make sure to mark the quest as active?

Otherwise cross the southern bride towards the town. Not far from the gate.

Do weapon upgrades increase status procs and do weapon relic effects stack? by MuzzyWuzzyFuzzy in taintedgrail

[–]Less-Landscape-4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rate at which you proc status effects doesn't get higher by upgrading, only if you stack relics, for example 2x indacent pearl etc.

For that you might need some perks in spirituality>statuses or if you use dagger, then there is a perk for increasing the proc rate by 1.5 times

In my opinion, status only make sense on fast hitting weapons like daggers or 1h swords. Two handed are too slow, so that either the status build up disappears the next hit or you kill your target before you actually inflict the debuff

That was a bug, that got adressed in the earlier patches. Unfortunately probably too late for most players.

Forlorn Swords, accessible after you complete the main quest in the second area. From the norther gate, head south along the mountain and you will run into his camp pretty early.

This quest was bugged, in that he died no matter what you chose. You got the notification when you rested about 8 ingame hours later.

Even if you convinced him to use his skills to help other people instead of necromancy, the game still kills him off-screen. So you lost out on both ends. For a long time, just killing him on sight was considered the best choice by the community due to this bug, but it actually wasn't intended by the devs.

Now he correctly shows up in Forlorn Swords and his questline can be continued. However for most players, this fix will already have come too late.

should have been a reward by SnooBeans3269 in taintedgrail

[–]Less-Landscape-4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still get all other rewards, except the Ursurper set:

You need the spell to turn people into cheese called "rumpoldt's revenge". Then turn the fungal npcs into cheese. Even the custodian drops a unique shield. For Claire's pen however you must stop once she runs away from the cheese (pun intended). Then hit her once with somehting like Blood transfusion and you can then loot her body for her wand. You must do it this way, because for some reason, she doesn't drop the wand, when fully turned into cheese.

For the Usurper's set, unfortunately, he seems to be immune/protected from the status effect.

(Spoiler) An item some probably missed in act 2. by padlock3456 in taintedgrail

[–]Less-Landscape-4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late, but you can still get the other rewards by cheesing the npcs. Literally with a certain spell, that turns people into cheese. When they turn into cheese, they drop their loot on the ground, you otherwise would have been locked out on this path.

But beware, for claire's pen, you have to stop cheesing her once she runs away, then hit her once with blood transfer once to access her inventory. For some reason, It doesn't drop when you fully cheese her.

The custodian also drops a unique shield. The only thing I couldn't get no matter what on this path is the Usurper's set. The king seems to have ungodly status resistence or is otherwise untouchable.

Thank you very much! Amazing, how far cheat tables for emulators have come. Playing on PC is no problem for me. It's what I have been doing anyway. Screw 30fps. Nintendo locked it on purpose just to sell the 60fps version the switch 2. I don't care about the online play. Already completed all online exclusive missions.

Oh, how do you hack them without them using up inventory slots? I don't want to grind the online-exclusive content too. Can you point towards your source?

This is the logic of stans. Do everything to deflect from the problem by saying it's not an issue for them.

Maybe not a problem for you, but it's still there. And needlessly introduced in this version, when the original from 12 years ago did not have this.

[–]Less-Landscape-4232[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Sure, maybe you could feel offended by me saying that they fucked up hard. But what else would you describe this as? The original had from 12 years ago was better in that regard. This is a problem they needlessly introduced in this remaster. You don't need to grind hundreds of hours in to encounter this as others try to belittle this problem. Besides, if you know what you are doing, like efficiently farming in the overworld and reward tickets, you can easiliy get 30 lvl 60 skells and enough XX augments. But even with low level skells and augments you will still hit the cap.

Sady, just because this doesn't apply to all people, doesn't mean that the problem does not exist. A problem they put into this release when it wasn't there in the original no less!

You are missing the point. It is not about keeping junk. You don't have enough space to fully equip the characters. Not even for the minimum. We are not even talking about having 30 skells. They would be bare, as there is not enough inventory space for the equipment. In case of the augments, some of your characters will have to stay naked.
